Photo: The Jaguar, Panthera onca, is a big cat, a feline in the Panthera genus, and is the only Panthera species found in the Americas. The jaguar is the third-largest feline after the tiger and the lion, and the largest in the Western Hemisphere. The jaguar's present range extends from Southwestern United States and Mexico across much of Central America and south to Paraguay and northern Argentina. Apart from a known and possibly breeding population in Arizona (southeast of Tucson), the cat has largely been extirpated from the United States since the early 20th century.

I just received the most beautiful gift! The tears of gratitude are flowing. There is a group of wild turkeys living in Madison, Wisconsin. People have become very protective of them and enjoy watching their antics as they move around the east side. They even have their own page! Yesterday the Fab Four, as they are affectionately known, showed up in my backyard. Today when I came back from a walk they were in my driveway! They came right up by my door and stood about 3 or 4 feet from me while they ate and explored. The big tom was watching me and I told him, "If one of you would leave me a feather, I would be very honored. I would get you things that you like to eat. What would you like to eat?" He said, "Bugs." I said, "Oh, that might be hard. You are better at that than I am." he then reached down with his beak, pulled out a feather, looked me in the eye, and dropped it on the ground. When I picked it up there was a tiny drop of his blood on my finger. I started crying and said, "I will get you some bugs! Are crickets ok? " Looks like I'm off to the pet store today.

The term Elder also extends to our Mother Earth, Father Sun, brothers & sisters of the 4 & many legged, the finned & feathered, ancient trees, stones, mountains, and waters. Take a gift & share love when visiting sacred places. Deepen your connection by giving without asking for anything in return sometimes.

When visiting elders it is always nice to bring them a little something special... a gift. They have a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime of experience. Our aged ones deserve respect

The tribe went on a special outing today! One of our gang used to live on this property as a child and she wanted to go visit. She said she thought there was a mound there- turns out there are nearly 40 remaining mounds on the site! Time for some mound hunting, connecting with sacred sites, honoring the precious waters, and MAGIC & LOVE!!!

Grandmother Moon: Coyolxauhqui (Mexika), Ix'Chel (Maya), Metzli (Mexika), Béeu (Zapotec), Luna (Spanish), carrier of female wisdom, powerful influence on tides and oceans, and our inner waters.... The New Moon phase that we are in now is a good time to clarify our needs and wants. Plant the seeds of new projects at the onset of the waxing moon, with clear intention and visualization, as well as prayers that include the well-being of all our relations.

"NEW MOON
This is the time of the month that we are naturally encouraged to become more introspective and introverted. Our energy is at its lowest, making now the best time to rest and rejuvenate. It is the perfect time to vision, set intentions and nurture our creative side. It is also the perfect time to just be with and make sacred space for deep conversation with the women in your life (masterminding).

WAXING MOON
During the waxing moon, our energies are starting to rise again, making the time ripe to start preparing the soil so it’s fertile for upcoming projects (restructuring, foundational work, putting structures and systems in place to support what we will be doing next). Now is the time to get out there and start planting seeds (ideas and new projects) and to communicate (meetings and planning).

FULL MOON
The full moon is when our energy is at its peak. Now is the best time to push hard to accomplish that which we envisioned during the new moon. Give yourself permission to work hard and play hard (big project undertakings and development here). If you want to stay up until the wee hours of the morning and ride on the momentum, give yourself permission to flow with it, if you feel so inspired!

WANING MOON
This is the time when our energy begins to recede. It is time to start wrapping things up and finishing tasks that have been weighing on you (ie: invoicing, clearing or reorganizing clutter) so that your life, your home and your business feels spacious. This time of clearing is essential to make space for your new moon visions. You will be more easily able to slow down, relax and rejuvenate during the new moon because those annoying unfinished tasks will no longer be taking up space in your mind." -from http://www.pinkelephantacademy.com/2012/05/the-phases-of-the-moon/

I don't often share personal things on this page, but I hope the images and information you find here comfort you, open you, make you think, call you to action, or help you heal in some way. Many of us are feeling the pressure and heat of an intense shift right now. I have been experiencing it very intensely, as are many of my clients and friends. This is a tempering process meant to bring us back to our essence and our core. It can be painful and it can be sweet in the lessons it brings. Learning to love ourselves is probably the most urgent need facing us in this shift. Self love brings our personal power back where it belongs! We MUST also focus on supporting one another in this process, giving our love and gifts in a good way. If you haven't already- find your family, find your tribe!!! You need them! If you are struggling to find them, continue your personal healing work, be YOU, and ask Spirit to bring them to you! I honor each of you in your journey. Many blessings of love and light to you!
