Toboggan Run has been acquired by a wonderful new owner and is now called Whiskey Hills!

Twig Rentals loved hosting so many of your getaways over the past 2 years at Toboggan Run. It has truly been a pleasure, but the time has come to pass the torch over to Distilled Destinations.

After a full renovation, (check out that kitchen though 😍) Whiskey Hills is now ready to be host for your next travel memories. She looks amazing and we are so excited to visit soon!

We are loving this new spot just 1.5 miles from Toboggan Run - is an adorable mercantile and coffee shop offering everything from home decor to ski gloves; a great cup of coffee to beautifully prepared meals; with comfy sweatshirts, socks, and a little bit of everything you might need while on the mountain.
Don’t skip a visit during your stay!

Wow!

Full moon tonight rising over Franklin. I was parked by Macon Middle School, in the cleared lot that is owned by Wells Grove Baptist Church. The pastor of the church stopped by and graciously wished me well in my hopes for a nice shot of the moon, as I had unknowingly parked on their property.

I didn’t see the house in the frame until getting the pictures off my Nikon Z7. I used my FTZ Adapter with the 200-500mm Nikon f/5.6 lens sitting in a Benro gimbal.

Leaf season is coming in. Toboggan Run has a back deck at 4300 feet, huge views of peaks even taller, and a short drive down the mountain to 2100 feet in Asheville, with plenty of great places to visit at various elevations in between, so we are perfectly positioned to enjoy beautiful fall colors no matter what time of the fall you visit. There's still some great fall availability on our calendar, so come stay with us!

And if you're looking for cool air, according to our weather station, it still hasn't hit 50 degrees today at 3PM!
