Best of luck to all the lucky "Hunt of a Lifetime" tag holders! If you hunt on your own or choose to hire one of the great Maine Guides, I hope your hunt is the "Hunt of a Lifetime "and have a blast with your group and enjoy your time in the outdoors! Be safe and post pics for all to see! This is my first season not guiding moose hunts since the beginning of the 90's and I'm not comfortable doing not being in the hunt!

Good morning folks. We hope this day finds you well and in good spirits! Well the new member of our group, Mya,is coming along well. She's a yellow lab,a very good representation of her breed. House training is going well, she gets the idea but not completely! Mya is a clever, very aware and fast learner. With my right knee replacement surgery only a tad over 2 weeks old, Sue has been doing the lions share of the night duty! She's the best and always puts 100 % into any project that we decide upon. Mya has naturally taken to the deer and moose antlers in my home, so I'm thinking we just might have another shed hunter on our hands. Have a great day folks and remember to always enjoy the outdoors!

64 above here at Grindstone Guide Service and my pt for my left knee replacement is going well but it seems slow to me. Anyone that knows me is aware of my possible lack of patience! I'm doing my best to accept the time involved in the healing process. It is what it is and I need to follow the steps to get my knee to the best it can be. I was able to do water therapy today and I am extremely excited about this opportunity! I'm on my way back to being better than I have been in years as far as physical ability! Heads up, I'm on my way back!Remember to always enjoy the outdoors!

Maine Turkey season begins on May 1,2021with its youth day and Monday the 3rd is the beginning for everyone to hunt Maine's plentiful Wild turkey! If anyone is in need of assistance please let me know. I have some great places to hunt the elusive Wild Turkey! My only draw back is to need to work a full-time job and hunt Saturdays.

21 above here at Grindstone Guide Service after a beautiful moon rise and set, then a gorgeous sunrise, we all should realize how lucky we are to live in the "Greatest Country in the world"! We will rise from this set back all the better for the way we faced adversity and came together to defeat ugly intruder! There are no stronger folks than Americans! Anyone who is out in the early cold air be sure to protect yourself from the wind.Bare skin can freeze in a matter of minutes, so keep an eye on each other. Barry Davis of Two Rivers Canoe and Tackle of Medway, and Chuck Theriault of Grindstone Guide Service present Barry Jasper with prize money for his winning 4.05 lb Brookie. Nice fish Barry and congratulations.The money from entries was split between Mr. Jasper and the Save Maine's Bear Hunt Coalition. Thanks to all entrants,we will run the contest again next season so look for it in the spring. Vote NO on 1 in November!

Opening day is always special when shared with my best friend of all,Gibby Rossignol. We had great day,enjoying the outdoors. I hope some of my other friends were as lucky as we were,to share laughter tears and good company.
