Established in 2005, the Muslim Student Association (MSA) at UC Merced aspires to connect Muslim students, the campus community, and local Muslims residing in Merced. It reaches out to the larger student body of UC Merced spreading knowledge about Islam and collaborating with other organizations to bring about positive changes to UC Merced. Our MSA hosts various events and activities such as Jumma

Prayer, Eid Banquets, general body meetings, social events, exciting fundraisers, and prayer room services. We work closely with the local Muslim and other community leaders on various programs geared toward enhancing the students experience on and around campus. We welcome both Muslims and non-Muslims to participate in our club’s activities.

Ramadan Mubarak! We hope the last ten days are going well for you inshallah. MSA is hosting a food drive this week where you can bring in non-perishable food items into the cooler in the Reflection Room (SSB 255) and we will be donating them to the Bobcat Pantry inshallah!

Salam members! UC Merced’s Pavilion dining will be having daily iftar and suhoor for on-campus residents! If you’re living on campus, they’ll be serving Iftar until 9PM and suhoor to-go bags available for pickup. DM us for any questions!

Social Media Coordinator - Supervise and execute all announcements of programming or meetings to the members and larger community, Remain in touch with campus media sites and Create posters on Canva to post to all social media sites.

Outreach Coordinator - Sends email, letters and other forms of communication on campus and off campus, Maintains the official records of communication

Tresurer - keep a record of all funds of MSA, dispense funds as approved by the Executive Board and under direction from the Office of Student Life, notify each member of their financial obligations, including dues and other costs

Events Coordinator - Responsible for booking rooms, finding speakers, organizing food, and decorating events.
