Tyndall Air Force Base is 15 minutes west of the condo. If you’re working there or visiting, our condo is in great proximity. We offer weekly & monthly rates in the off season.
•
Have a military ID? You can take advantage of the BX, the gym, and additional resources at the base while staying in Mexico Beach. Rentals at the Marina are our favorites.

Great off-season rates. Upgraded WiFi Furnished kitchen. Coffee shop within walking distance. Oh, and there’s a beach 🏖️

If you love fresh, locally caught, locally made food served up at small mom ‘n pop restaurants, then you are going to LOVE dining out around Mexico Beach!!

Killer Seafood (fish tacos, fresh catch of the day, seafood bread bowl)
Shipwreck: oysters, grouper

Port St Joe:
Uptown Raw Bar: steamed + seasoned shrimp, grouper, oysters

Apalachicola:
Seafood Grill: blackened grouper sandwich

One thing we can’t control is Mother Nature. Right now, Mexico Beach has a lot of algae masses washing up on shore. They’re harmless but can be less than pleasing when you want to take a dip in the water.
•
This is a big reason why booking a condo with a pool can really be beneficial to getting the most out of your vacation.
•
Evening swims (aka nature’s feeding hour) is another reason.
•
We have a few dates in July & August still available 😊

Are you a beach walker or runner? 🙋🏽‍♀️

Mexico Beach goes for miles and miles along Hwy 98. Because it’s nature, the terrain changes a bit but typically it’s very flat with a decent amount of shells, coral, and sand dollars.
•
If you’re wanting to change things up a bit during your stay, check out Windmark Beach and Cape San Blas. Both have public access areas and a long stretch to explore.
•

With a little Irish luck, you might find a sand dollar, a shark’s tooth or a beautiful piece of coral.

Beat the crowds and make your reservations before Memorial Day! You’ll practically have the entire beach to yourself. 🏖️

Love lighthouses? There are several to visit just east of Mexico Beach.
•
Tip: at your first lighthouse, purchase a ‘passport’. You can then get it stamped at each lighthouse you visit. This is not limited to Florida lighthouses.
•
Various lighthouses host Full Moon events and climbs. Sign up in advance!
•
Not all of the lighthouses are open year round, or even seven days a week, so check their websites if you want to go inside.
•
At the very least, driving to each one and enjoying the small towns and nature preserves along the way is a journey in itself.

Fun Fact: The official Smallest Police Station can be found just east of MexicoBeach in Carrabelle, Florida.

While you’re in town, be sure to check out the glass bottle house & lighthouse. Very cool!

I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing Good Friday service was the year we attended. What the preacher said, (with his back to the sun) and what the sun did at that same moment was truly phenomenal. This picture only touches on the moment.

Easter weekend is still available. In general, attending a Sunday morning service on the beach is like no other. The waves, digging your toes in the sand during the sermon, the seagulls flying over the water… It’s all pretty special.

A little late, but Happy Valentine’s Day!

This sh*****ng boat washed ashore during Hurricane Michael.
It was a great photo spot and a cool nautical item to explore.
Unfortunately, the county decided it was a safety hazard and had it removed.

Change. It’s the only thing consistent in life.

Tree decoration looks different at the beach! 🐚 Cape San Blas has an area where LOTS of shells wash up. It’s a great coastline walk. 🐚 Located 20 minutes east of the condo 🐚 Before you go: ~parking is by the huge boulders ~check the tide schedule ~remember that sunsets are gorgeous but it get VERY dark afterwards because there aren’t streetlights nearby ~you can have campfires on this beach ~Leave No Trace and maybe even bring a bag to pick up trash that gets washed up #mexicobeachfl #capesanblasfl

Do you need grounded? • Not because you’re in trouble but because you’re human and we don’t come in direct contact with the earth often enough. Especially in the winter! • Walking along the beach barefoot is a perfect example of grounding. Having direct contact with your skin is known to reduce stress & inflammation, improve blood flow & sleep, and increase one’s energy.
