I am so proud of our clients. They are willing to dig deep and do the hard work. It’s easy to forget about clutter, or continually kick the can in tackling hard projects. But they show up, do the work, are teachable and ready to change.

This client is facing a basement of years of accumulated stuff. She’s had a death in the family and hard things to deal with but is ready to find the peace that is on the other side of sorting through it all. We help her, we listen to her stories, and we LOVE watching how she interacts with her children in asking which items they want. I’ve been very inspired by the transformation taking place in this house, physical and otherwise.

She just donated all of her old food storage to a couple giving homesteading a try. She said, “I like to imagine the bones of my house taking a deep breath as so much stuff is being removed.”

Is this not beautiful? I so love being a facilitator in this kind of work. To all of our clients, I hope you know how proud we are of you!!

All in a day’s work! These shots are from two back-to-back jobs in Park City yesterday. I am constantly amazed at nimble Carrie’s can-do attitude: hop up on a shelf to check the contents of a bag, assemble an umbrella, contort under a desk to access a hard-to-reach outlet. 👏🏽

And Chase knows how to unwind after a long day! We enjoyed a late afternoon picnic and paddle boarding at Rockport State Park, trying to beat this heat. 🩴

Back to our roots! Sarah and I thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic UPO meeting today with presenter Mark LeBlanc. Finally a functional spice cabinet thanks to these amazing and easy to install pull-out spice racks!🙌🏼 The labels and spice jars came with the set, we were able to use the extra labels 🏷️ on glass jars for frequently used spices🧂Everything matches!

Clutter can be contagious, especially in areas where you’re not walking by continuously throughout the day, including your garage! We have many clients who have so many things that build up that prevents them from even using their garage for its sole purpose!

Which is why we encourage investing in some nice storage shelves that sit flesh on the sides of the wall, or even using the vertical space with racks! This will take all of the miscellaneous things you want to keep off the ground and in zones that you can easily access.

Sometimes it’s easy to think you simply don’t have enough space for organization products, but you’d be surprised how much of a difference they can make in creating more space! The risers are especially helpful to see more canning items, and the wooden organizers are great to pull out and grab quick snacks.

Last two areas from the recent travel organizing job: the primary bedroom and a storage shed. We went through all of her jewelry, clothes, and items that had been hanging out in her bedroom, and the decluttering helped the room feel much more peaceful. As we went through bins in the storage shed, she earmarked plenty of stuff for a future garage sale, and has just a few boxes of remaining homework: old papers and mementos. Those of you who guessed the approximate location of this job based on my clues were right! This little town is on the coast of western Washington, a couple hours from Seattle. So pretty and green. Garage 🧰 organization can be a tough one to take on and it can be overwhelming and difficult to know where to start. Here are three ways to accomplish the project:First step: Declutter🚮 Start by editing out the things you don’t need first, this way you can make more space to work with for the items you plan on keeping.Second step: Categorize🗂️ Create piles of items that are under the same category for easier reference.Third step: Organize🪄 Take each item category and build zones in available spaces. Try to avoid blocking the access of items to ensure functionality.
