J. Larry Keith & The Lonesome Road Band....
Stopped by Regal Media Studios this week to visit and rehearse for the new summer season of HOT gigs they will be performing. Larry, Rick and Jeremy are great musicians, singers and all around great people. Happy to be producing their CDs and recording with these top of the line performers. We took some time to celebrate the Emmy Award Larry & Dena received for writing the song "The Story of Virginia Johnson" performed by The Lonesome Road Band, the CD and audio for the video recorded and produced at Regal Media Studios. A big Yahoo goes out to UNC-TV for Our State 801.

My good friend Richard Hurley stopped by the studio this week to hang-out, pick some guitars and work on some songs for his new CD we're planning to produce for him and record later this year. His last CD arranged and produced by Josh Goforth "My Mountains, My Songs" is doing well for Richard and plans are being made for Josh to work with Richard on this new CD. I'm looking forward to being a part of this production team once again.
By the way, I'm looking for song writers, performers, bands everyone who loves quality recorded music and wants to contribute their talents to the great world of sound. We're in the music capital of the south, Asheville, North Carolina.....

It was just about 40 years ago The Primitive came in to the Eddie Swann studio in Candler, NC to do some recording. Here we are today still recording in the Eddie Swann studio, now in Mills River, NC. Never dreamed 40 years ago we would be here doing this today. I'll just say thank you so much to the Primitive.

Fine recording session today with Richard Hurley producing his song "The Boojum" for use in the Canton NC Boojum festival in June. This is the Bigfoot or Sasquatch of Haywood County. The entire band was "The King of Recording" David Johnson. He brings 22 instruments to the recording session and we used most of them on this production.

A few photos of an in-house recroding session with Leonard Hollifield and Bryan Sutton. Back in the early days of The Kingsmen Quartet Leonard was Mr. Guitar and traveled the world over with those guys before settling down at home in Weaverville, NC and playing with The Stony Creek Boys of Bluegrass fame for over 30 years. Of course Bryan Sutton is "Mr Acoustic Guitar" of world wide fame and spent the day with us recording some tunes. There will ba a CD of this some day soon and believe me, you'll want a copy. BTW, I'm the old guy trying to figure out which button to push.
