I've been taking pictures for years and have been encouraged by so
many to offer my services. I work part time as a registered nurse, but photography and writing are true passions of mine. Capturing the moments as an outside observer in group settings like family celebrations so the family members can enjoy their time together, photographing the beauty of pregnancy and welcoming the newest member to a family, end of life celebrations so families can be present during their goodbyes and welcoming support of family and friends, kids' sporting events, product shoots for small businesses, maybe just a quiet moment here or there--these are a few of the experiences I've been able to share with my photography. In 2009 I was approached by some seniors at Shorewood High School asking if I'd take their Senior Portrait. Thanks to RJ, Tomi and Kayla I had the gumption to offer my services to a larger group in 2010...my son, Charlie's Class of 2011 from Dominican High School and have had some wonderful kids accept my offer. Dominican High School Theatre and their Seniors have been very good to me over the years. Charlie helped me out a great deal with spreading the word and creating my brand new logo. Those who know me, know my love of my Irish heritage and my prayers for peace. Charlie was able to meld the celtic Peace Knot into the lens of the sketch he made of my Nikon for my first logo. Charlie is now a Graphic Designer and helped create my new branding in 2015. Pax=Peace and it is what I wish for everyone and especially those who have asked me to create a memory for them via my digital imaging. Some favorite subjects include pregnant moms, babies and kids, teenagers, parents and kids together
Some favorite events: Sacraments at Church, backyard parties, days at the beach, intimate weddings, basketball, softball, picnics
In 2014, I became the official photographer for my nephew's, Kevin, small business Upties - upcycling ties out dress shirts. My son, Charlie, was the Designer and Packaging artist for Upties - creating the logo and business platform as well as being webmaster for the business. My sister Terri, was the main seamstress when Kevin began his business. As you can see I love family - whether it be by blood or by observation in those moments of joy, moments of sorrow and all those moments in between.
