It all started back in 5th grade in San Jose, CA with the very specific purpose of going on the 8th grade trip to Reno on a charter bus with all my friends. I’d stay at Circus Circus and play in the arcade downstairs just like my older sister did and that was about the coolest thing I could imagine. With the mentorship from outstanding band directors, private teachers, and summer camp teachers, the fire was lit and I focused on music.

More opportunities opened up as I played in regional and state honor bands, and with a well established ska band in the Bay Area, . My professional career officially started at 16 playing with them at great venues, festivals, and bars in San Fransisco and throughout the state. Senior year I was invited to perform with the San Jose youth symphony on their summer European tour. All this momentum propelled me into going to as a jazz saxophone major where I was finally able to really dedicate myself to music.

Thanks everyone for all the support!! This dream has been brewing for over 15 years. Sharing it with you all and making it public has been a huge (and scary!) leap in finally making it possible. But if you know me then you know how perfect a fit this is, and what a mind-blowing and totally unique experience an improvising musician can create in a gigantic echo box of a canyon.
