UPDATE : Rock-n-Creek Cabin October availability.
October is Fall Foliage for us on the mountain. It’s when everyone wanting to witness the color change rush to the Blue Ridge Parkway to seeing this amazing transformation.
Lodging in my area Crabtree Falls is limited for the number of people wanting to visit and stay close to the color.
Rock-n-Creek Cabin is located just 1.5 miles off of the BRP MILE POST 27.
October has just 4 weekends we currently have availability weekends 4-6, weekends 25-27.
We are open year round and available during the week. Most people don’t have the flexibility for weekdays.
So don’t wait, set your date, get your spot now.

Living Remotely Has It’s Challenges !
For those that have tried to contact
Rock-n-Creek Cabin for inquiries or reservations and my personal telephone for a week now unsuccessfully. Verizon is at it again.
Phones have been out and it will be Tuesday before they have any tech’s available for repairs.
Imagine that a long weekend!

Can you believe it? Fall is already on it's way.
So that means cool night's and campfires.
And Rock-Creek Cabin is booking up for fall foliage.
Only one weekend left in October that would be the first weekend of the month.
For those without restrictions, I do have dates available during the week.
So get way for a couple days, pack your jelly bucket and head for the hills.

Another nice dinner prepared and completed at Rock-n-Creek Cabin this evening. Pecan Encrusted Wild Caught Salmon with Wild Honey and Lemongrass Glaze, Served on a raft of wilted Greens Florentine, accompanied with Creamed Mushrooms and Orzo. Old School Carrot Cake with an Ole Fashion Boiled Icling. Life is Good!

Just finished preparing a great meal for five retired Naval Officers staying this weekend at the cabin.
Wild Caught Sockeye Salmon glazed with whole grain mustard and raw honey, topped with fresh herbed breadcrumbs and toasted pecans, finished with parsley butter and citrus zest.
served on a raft of wilted greens and creamed mushroom orzo.

It's Country Sausage making day at Rock-n-Creek Cabin. Fresh Fruit Preserves, Apple Butter and Fruit Spreads along with a variety of Homemade Sausages are offered for sale and available in house during your stay. I have finally finished the Chef's Table Dinner Menu for
Rock-n-Creek Cabin guest this coming Saturday evening. The guest will enjoy a four course dinner created within their likes and dis-likes and any medical or allergy issues. They will also enjoy a couples massage in the comfort of the cabin in front of the fireplace. Life is good for some.

Vegetable Pho: Red Rice Noodles, Mushrooms, Fresh Herbs, Sprouts and Scallions served in a fragrant consommé.

Fall Salad: Crisp Apple and Cucumber Slaw with Marinated Artichoke, Sweet Vidalia Onion. Finished with toasted Pumpkin Seed, Balsamic BellaVitano Cheese and Brined Olive Vinaigrette.

Trilogy: Pan-seared wild caught Sockeye Salmon, Nantucket Diver Scallops, Herb Stuffed Blue Point Oysters. Served on a bed of cheesy grits and oyster mushrooms. Finished with Brown Butter, Shallots and Dill.

Triple Chocolate Gateau: served on a raft of Sweet Clover Crema, Fresh Raspberries and Butter Rum Drizzle.

These are cabin guest from Michigan who have never been to this mountain region. I set up the route and took the group on their scenic scooter ride through the area I live in everyday. Who wants to go?

Rock-n-Creek Cabin is in a whirlwind of Chef Table Dinners. Just had a great family in the cabin this past weekend and I had the pleasure to create and prepare a beautiful Chef's Table for 8 guest. It was a special 75th birthday for a great man. Today I am gearing up for another Chef's Table for newlyweds this coming weekend. They will enjoy a couples massage in the comfort of the cabin also. 1st Course: Chopped Derby Salad
A fresh array of chopped seasonal vegetables tossed in a delicate blood orange vinaigrette. Served on a bed of red tip butter lettuce. Finished with citrus slices and toasted pepitas.

Entree: Copper River Coho Salmon
Broiled wild caught Coho Salmon finished in brown butter and fresh herbs, topped with a mushroom ragout. Served on a raft of creamed greens, accompanied with a savory sweet potato and caramelized onion puree.

Dessert: Ole Fashion Bread Pudding.
A delicate bread custard pudding made by old fashion tradition with golden raisins and local whole cream and free range eggs. Served with a delicate rum sauce and homemade vanilla ice cream.

Availabitly Update for Rock-n-Creek Cabin. Only only one weekend left in September. 29th- Oct 1st. Get it while its still there.
Fall Foliage is on its way so only one weekend left in October 27th-29th.
November is shaping up and will book also.

Update on Availability!
August is gone....just like the summer. September only has the weekend of the 29th open. The rest of the month is booked. October is currently booking for Fall Folaige. Can you believe it? Fall and Winter not to mention Christmas. It's happening that fast folks. Only 2 weekends left in October 6th-8th and 27th-29th. The cabin is available during the week for those that are not restricted by things like work.

Can you believe that summer is on it's way out and fall is on it's way. Rock-n-Creek Cabin is in full swing with bookings already filling in Sept and Oct. Only one weekend left in August. Sept has 5 weekends and currently have 3 weekends left.Oct has 4 weekends and only 2 left. Don't regret waiting, get em while there still available.

UPDATE FOR
ROCK-n-CREEK CABIN.
June availability: 23rd-25th. the last day of the month falls on Friday the 30th which is open.
July: I had a cancellation June 30th-July 5th. They have a family crisis. So if you are looking for a July 4th getaway. Dates are open now. They will not last so Bust A Move!
August: only 2 weekends left 11th-13th & 25th-27th
Plenty of dates during the week for most months.
Rock-n-Creek Cabin has been reclassified and now has a full ABC license available to cabin guest.
Since reclassification we are now offering one night stays during the week Monday- Thursdays only.
