Stutts Marina (704) 664-3106 is located less than 1/2 mile from the cabin. They offer boat rentals, kayak rentals and paddle board rentals.

Excellent waterfront restaurants to enjoy the views of Lake Norman.

Lake Norman is the largest lake in NC. One of the best ways to enjoy the views is to spend time at the best waterfront restaurants on Lake Norman!

We have a new rental that went live today.

Come unwind and enjoy being "Logged Out" at our log cabin with views of Lake Norman. Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. Enjoy the private neighborhood beach, which is great for swimming with the kids or relaxing with a drink, while watching the sunset. If you would like to get on Lake Norman, the neighborhood provides a boat ramp or you can rent a boat from Stutts Marina, which is minutes away.

Good morning! It's 3 degrees on summit (wind chill minus 22) with 7 inches of new snow. Frostbite Warning (hats/gloves required) for skiing, snow tubing and ice skating. 4WD/chains required on village roads. All slopes open with base up to 100 inches! Great news! Our heat wave (high today at lodge was 67) is ending. Snow returns Sunday night into Monday with low in the teens! Several inches possible, plus snow making resumes. Due to an extended period of warmer weather resulting in limited terrain available, Appalachian Ski Mtn. will be offering Ski Tickets at 50% off normal rates (ski tickets only). Guests who have already purchased a ski ticket are being emailed a ski area credit of 150% of the discount portion to be used for a future visit, no expiration. •
We are currently open for skiing & snowboarding on a regular schedule with 5 slopes. Ice Skating is also open on a regular schedule with 3 sessions daily (Noon-2, 3-5pm and 7-9pm). Current forecasts call for temperatures in the teens Sunday night, allowing for normal mid-winter conditions. •
