The Peterson 46' is a stretch/upgraded version of the most popular cruising sailboat ever built, the Peterson 44'. The Kelly Peterson, by Jack Kelly, is impeccably built with lavish teak interior, hand-laid fiberglass hull and decks exceeding normal standards, the finest hardware available, and hull and rigging design proven by countless ocean
crossings. As such, it shows quality and attention to

detail that would only be found in new boats in the $500k-$600k range for equal size. (Latest survey stated replacement cost at $545k.) Construction:

Hull and deck are hand-laid fiberglass with inset sheet tracks, raised stanchion pads, laid in nonskid surface and molded hatch covers
Cabin trunk has 17 opening ports, 4 deck hatches, and 2 companionways
Hull and cabin top are insulated
Hull has cutaway forefoot and skeg hung rudder
Teak caprails, handrails, cockpit combings

This is a very sturdy boat with a low profile, medium displacement, and a hull shape that provides an easy motion in heavy seas
