TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For Today- 11/16: The pattern to our west got a little more complicated overnight and we will see high clouds sifting in from the southwest early and then lowering and thickening as the pattern pivots around to the west and northwest tonight. Snow showers will get started by later this afternoon but the cold front has stalled and won’t move through until Friday so it will be a warm start to this system. Enjoy the last bits of milder sunshine today.

Temperatures: Overnight lows have stayed on the cold trend at 14 for Crested Butte and 15 for Gunnison. Highs will pop early but then cool reaching 47 for CB and 51 for Gunni. Lows tonight will stay warm in the mid to high 20’s.

Outlook: As the cold front stalled, the southern flow was allowed to lift to our north. As the pattern turns to the northwest tonight all of this will come back across our area. Look for 1-3 into Friday morning and up to 10 more as the heavies bands work across our area Friday. The cold front moves in late so expect the best snow up high with half or less down low and for Gunnison. Monarch will be a mess Friday afternoon and overnight so plan accordingly. The are lots of moving parts so stay tuned.
