ARMYWORM ALERT!!! Be on the lookout! We're getting in a few reports of ARMYWORM activity in some hay fields in Rutherford County. If you start seeing areas in your lawn that you have concerns about, you may want to consider doing a little "Soap Flush" to verify any activity. Simply add 2 teaspoons of liquid dish soap in 2-3 gallons of water and slowly pour it over a suspected area. This will surely bring them out to the top if they are present.

Some people wondered about the colors in the aurora Friday night. It sure showed almost the entire spectrum of colors. The only colors not generally seen were oranges, yellow and white. But the blues, purples, magenta and greens were visible, in some instances, with the naked eye.
