The Back Porch Quilters Located in the heart of the Great Smokey Mountains in the small rural town of Murphy, NC, our business grew out of a love for sewing.

Russ is a graduate of Montreat College and a Desert Storm veteran. He worked his way through college working in the local sewing factories-thus his extensive experience in the sewing field. He began sewing in his Junior year of high school and has been sewing since. Rhonda's love for quilting began with a gift certificate, to the local quilt shop, www.blessmystitches.com and the rest is history! T

ogether they run a home based business which they share with their two young daughters. Our customer base ranges from Washington State all the way down to sunny Florida. We are quickly building a large customer base as a result of our quality work and reasonable rates.
