Attention all antique car lovers!!! Saturday, June 15th, 10am!!

The Hawk A Model A Ford Club of Cedar Rapids will be touring the Muscatine area and the Pine Creek Grist Mill on Saturday, June 15th. We anticipate 15-17 antique autos will be visiting the Mill and some will be parked on the grounds of the Mill. Great photo opportunities.

The historic backdrop of the Mill will provide a unique ambiance for showcasing antique autos and enthusiasts gathering to share their passion for automobiles. Each vehicle and owner will have their own story to tell. Visitors will enjoy strolling among the cars, chatting with owners, and admiring the craftsmanship and design of these automotive gems. Come on out on Saturday June 15th at 10am.

While you're at the Mill, we have Mill souvenirs for sale and please consider a cash or cash app donation to the Friends of the Pine Creek Grist Mill. (Cash app details available from the tour guides.)

American Cruise Lines is docking on our riverfront THIS MONDAY, June 17th! Catch a glimpse of their beautiful ship, the American Melody and stick around Downtown Muscatine to shop & eat! 🛍🍴🥞 Some downtown businesses are open special hours because of the guests arriving, so check their social media for updates!

Residents and visitors are encouraged to wave as the boat departs around 1pm!

The parking lot will be closed in front of the main boat launch and Pearl City Station, but residents are welcome to park upriver in front of the Mississippi Mist!

Leading his Zydeco Experience band, Simien has become one of the most respected and accomplished artists in American roots music. His extraordinary vocal talent and on-stage charisma beckon audience members to their feet and into the groove.

Iowa Time Machine ⏰: On May 1, 1926, the first Maid-Rite sandwich shop opened in Muscatine. Local Butcher Fred Angell combined a special cut and grind of meat with a secret set of spices to create the famous Iowa sandwich. When he tested it out on a local delivery man who quipped, “Fred, you know this sandwich is made right,” an American icon was born.
