Marlo’s Wish was created after the owner, Kristen Loera, made Homemade Sugar Scrubs as Christmas gifts for the ladies she worked with. She wanted something that they could pamper themselves with and make them feel special. She personalized the labels with their initials for an added touch. Her mother thought the jars were cute and she suggested starting a business selling them. Kristen didn’t thin
k much about it until a month later when two of the ladies she had given them to came to her in the same week and said they needed more. She thought more about making it a business and thought it could be the perfect opportunity as it was also her wish to start a family. So she decided to go for it. She thought the scrubs would be great for someone to pamper themselves with or to give as gifts, and thought adding an inspirational “wish” would be perfect. She combined her maiden name of Martin and married name of Loera to come up with Marlo’s Wish. Our current line of scrubs offers five different scents with limited edition scents popping up from time to time. Each guest can choose their scent and choose their “wish” to customize their jar. There are two things that make our scrubs different from others you might find. Using sugar instead of salt allows for a “pain free” experience. You will not find any burning if you have cuts, scrapes or extremely dry skin. Marlo’s Wish also uses Coconut Oil which is a solid oil that melts at 76 degrees. This allows for more of a “mess free” scrub because it is more solid than most loose oil scrubs. Marlo’s Wish scents include Coastal Coconut Lime, Rosemary Mint, Lemongrass Sage, Cherry Vanilla & Lavender. The current Limited Edition scents are Eucalyptus & Spearmint and Vanilla Verbena.
