I am running this year's NYC marathon and raising funds for Pajama Program. I am raising money because I was "lucky", I got adopted and had warm, clean PJ's every night and someone to tuck me in and read me a story. Millions of children across the US do not have this simple comfort. By helping me reach my goal you are providing new books and new PJ's to children who have been abused, abandoned and/or neglected. I am running and raising money for kids like John, who is living in an emergency group home right now and told his case worker that he had trouble sleeping at night (before he was removed from his home) because there was a gun in the house and his parents would fight and he feared one of them would kill the other. Being given a new pair of pajamas and a good book helps him relax at night for the first time. Please help if you can!
