Dear Horace Mann School Alumni,
As some of you may be aware, Max Chung (a rising 12th grader), ran away from his home twelve days ago and has not been seen or heard from since. Max left his family home without his cell phone or wallet. While Max's father continues to work with the police, serious concerns remain about Max's well-being.
This is not the first time that Max has run away. Our Director of Public Safety, Mr. Michael McCaw, continues to lead the effort to search for Max in cooperation with Max's father, the police departments from a growing number of states, the Port Authority, the MTA, the colleges and universities in the Tri-State area, and a growing number of youth and adult shelters. As of last week, we've added a private agency to the team, one that specializes in finding young adults in Max's situation.
The help I am looking for from each of you is your willingness to post the flier below on your social media accounts to help spread the word. I ask that any posts on social media include the following hashtags:
If you or your acquaintances on social media come across any information about Max and his possible whereabouts, Mr. McCaw ([email protected]) and I ([email protected]) remain available via email, 24/7, and via phone during work hours. If interested parties would prefer to engage with the NYPD, they may do so by contacting Detective Borough Bronx at 718-378-8083.
I am humbled by the support we have received to date, and thank you for considering my request.
Sincerely,
Tom
