For those of you looking to relax during your vacation on , Check out Chef ’s latest delights!

Hello!! I am now offering Some exciting alternative food options while staying on north Captiva. Outside of my private catered in home meals that I prepare. I’m also offering fully cooked meals really to eat. After a long travel day a meal waiting for you at your house waiting to be heated up with dessert sounds pretty GOOD!!! Or just want to do less cooking while exploring our beautiful island here’s you’re solution!!
Menu:
Suf-n-turf: Ny steaks with snow crab legs caramel onions and mushrooms. Creamy mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli.
Island seafood boil: Fresh gulf Shrimp,corn,potatoes,Italian sausage,snow crab in a cajun butter sauce.
Blackened grouper fish: with mango salsa, sweet cream aioli, roasted broccoli with aromatic basmati rice.
Tacos: fish,chicken,steak with Mexican rice guacamole,cheese, pickled cabbage, bacon jalapeño pinto beans. Flour and corn tortillas.
Italian sausage lasagna,loaf of bread. Cannolis
All meals come with either a key lime pie or chocolate lava cake.
If your children won’t eat what is listed. I can do Chicken strips and Mac n cheese for them.

Sea Turtle Nesting Season has started!

SEASON 2023 !

It’s here! Today was the first day of sea turtle nesting season on North Captiva. All our gulf beaches were monitored and no crawl was found. We are keeping our hopes up though for an early nest this year. Many other beaches are reporting early nesting.

We need you help as well as the turtles. Please

ADOPT-A-NEST !

The 2023 sea turtle season, beginning April 15, 2023 on North Captiva will be the 4th year for the program.

WHAT IS IT?

AAN is a program that supports the efforts of the North Captiva Sea Turtle Foundation. All donations go towards material for marking turtle nests, maintaining our 4WD electric turtle vehicle, and other foundation expenses. Giving an adoption as a gift is very special. Consider birthdays, anniversaries, memorials, or for grandchildren.

HOW DO I ADOPT?

Please contact us at [email protected]. Provide name of the purchaser, email, and phone number. Also the name for the turtle stake. If it is a gift please include name of recipient and email and phone number where certificate and information may be sent. Please include ages for children and any other special requests.

WHAT IS THE COST?

A donation of $100 is requested. You can mail a check to NCSTF at 2602 Dora Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901 and note it is for an adoption. Or you may pay per Pay Pal/[email protected]. General donations are also appreciated.

You will receive a beautiful certificate electronically that can be copied and framed. We will notify you and send a picture when the nest is marked and GPS so you can locate your nest on Google Earth. Hatching date and results will be sent also.

When boating or on personal watercraft, follow all manatee protection zones, wear polarized glasses, and make sure to give them plenty of space – something you can do to help manatees when viewing them either on, in or from above the water. Let the restorations begin! Electricity was restored to , just 24 days after the eye of Ian passed over as a category 4 hurricane.
What a way to celebrate the creation of our island 101 years ago, when a hurricane cut North Captiva off from Sanibel/Captiva island creating our secluded paradise.
Thank you to all the LCEC folks and Island teams who have worked tirelessly to make this happen.

Please join us for the Second Annual North Captiva Island Fourth of July Golf Cart Parade, Sunday, July 4, 2021 at 3:00 pm

We are thrilled to announce that the Grand Marshall of this year’s parade will be North Captiva’s own Sherman Cottrell, also known as The Shermanator. Sherman is an integral part of this island and a true cornerstone of our island community. From fixing what needs fixing to keeping our roads and community safe, Sherman does it all!

Decorate your cart or yourselves and come join the parade! Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in or watch the parade from anywhere along the route.

***Parade Specifics***

- Staging area will be in the Mainstay parking lot, beginning at 2:30 pm. Parade participants will begin lining up at 2:30 pm.

- Parade will leave at 3:00 pm.

- Spectators encouraged to gather along the parade route beginning at 3 pm.

- After Gathering at Mainstay

Parade Route: we will travel down Rum Road, till the end, turning right on Panama Shell, across Gulf Lane, turning right on Oyster Shell and then left again on Rum Road, returning to Mainstay, where we began.

Come one, come all, come as you are!
We’re going to party like it’s 1776! 🇺🇸
