Our Next Meeting!
"Landings for All of Us"
Tuesday, December 3, 2024, starting at 18:00 Central Standard Time

Topic: What About My Landing

Located at:
Wittman Regional Airport
Conference Room
525 W 20th Avenue
Oshkosh, WI 54901

Description:
Takeoff and Landing Accidents account for 70% of all GA Accidents and Wisconsin had 31 Landing Accidents in FY 2024 alone, why is that? Is it that pilots aren't proficient? Is it that pilots forget the basics or is it because they try to safe the landing rather than perform a go around.

If you felt that the Engine Failure Startle Effect was worth your time to attend in 2022 then you will be pleased to know that the same team of CFI's have developed the Good Landings do not happen by Accident seminar series. During this seminar Jurg Grossenbacher, Milwaukee FAA will answer these questions for you.

•Why are we talking about landings
•Unstabilized Approaches
•What is stabilized
•What isn’t
•How do we stay Air Safety Institute

One credit for advanced knowledge topic in the FAA Wings Program.

It’s always a good day when WFC has a new pilot!! 👨🏻‍✈️ Congratulations to Member Jamie Chapin on earning his private pilot certificate today. Jamie started his test yesterday with Examiner Dick Hanusa and then finished up this morning; yesterday’s winds were over Jamie’s personal minimums. Today they flew to complete the job! In this photo Jamie is congratulated by his CFI John Dorcey. Pile on the good wishes!

It was a beautiful night for our last plane wash of the season. Lovely sunset across the ramp, a good turnout, yummy treats by Jennie, and Margaret Burton did a fine job of explaining how to use the tug. Thanks to everyone who came out!
