Tradewind received two new Pilatus PC-12 NGX aircraft earlier this month at our Connecticut headquarters. Tradewind now has 7 out of the brand new 20 NGX aircraft that were ordered in 2022, for a total fleet of 31 Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, including owned and managed.

Tradewind team members, family, and friends gathered at our Connecticut Headquarters last night along with members of the D-Day Squadron and Tunison Foundation, as they prepare for their trip across the pond to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.

Wishing our CEO, Eric Zipkin, and the D-Day Squadron smooth skies as they fly these historic warbirds across the Atlantic, honoring the bravery and sacrifice of WWII veterans.

Tradewind Aviation is incredibly pleased to announce our newest partnership with United Aviate, United Airlines’ industry-leading pilot career development program.

As an Aviate-participating Part 135 operator, Tradewind will provide pilots with a defined career path to the flight deck as a United First Officer. Highly qualified candidates who are already employed by or have accepted an offer from Tradewind can apply to Aviate, and upon acceptance, receive a conditional job offer from United.

This partnership will provide those who are already a part of the Tradewind team a direct pathway to a major airline, as well as provide an opportunity for future Tradewind pilots to apply to the Aviate program and transition to United later in their career.

Meet one of our latest Captain upgrades, Captain Beth! Beth joined Tradewind in April, 2022 with 950 hours of total time. Prior to flying at Tradewind, she was a flight attendant for JetBlue, got her certifications and ratings, and was time building by flight instructing. She plans on advancing to JetBlue through the JetBlue Gateway partnership available to qualified Tradewind pilots who serve 18 months as Captain. Her dream aircraft is the Airbus A321. Meet Eran, a woman with many roles at Tradewind: Standards Captain, PC-12 Flight Instructor, and Director of Training. Her story: she was time building as a CFI/CFII and MEI and was just shy of 1,500hrs before she decided to come to Tradewind in May of 2021 to take on a new challenge. She is enrolled in the JetBlue Gateways program and is expected to advance to JetBlue this year. Her ultimate goal is to fly something with three engines for Fed-Ex.
