Brisket is coming soon!!!

Summer Update:
We will continue our 4 day a week schedule through summer, but due to some changes in our schedules we will be open Tuesday - Friday 11 am to 4 pm.

The people have spoken…. After a landslide poll and much debate we decided to take smoked turkey off the summer menu and bring brisket back as well as keep our house smoked bacon!! We will do our best to meet the brisket demand, but due to the long smoking process and always putting the freshest food out it will be on an “as available” basis…. It will be officially added to the menu Tuesday June 4th!! We are geared up and excited for the summer season!!!

This menu is comprised of our top 10 menu items over the past year!

Just a little sneak peak at Little Elk 2. It's coming along nicely and we hope to have it finished in the next month or so. This one will sleep 4, will have plenty of space and a great patio with hot tub just like the main house on the property!

On our "To Do" list while in Pagosa next time is taking much needed updated family photos. Do you take family photos on your vacations? I notice many do while at the beach but Pagosa Springs has some amazing backdrops for photo ops. I love some of the photos taken by this photographer. If you're thinking about family photos in the mountains have a look!!

Wolf Creek Pass is a high mountain pass on the Continental Divide, in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. It is the route through which U.S. Highway 160 passes from the San Luis Valley into southwest Colorado on its way to New Mexico and Arizona. The pass is notable as inspiration of a C. W. McCall song. The pass is significantly steep on either side (6.8% maximum grade) and can be dangerous in winter. There are two runaway truck ramps on the westbound side for truckers that lose control of their brakes.

It's always fun in the winter! and important to watch road conditions and warnings....

The pass is just another interesting piece of what makes Pagosa Great!

If your looking for another fun, family activity in Pagosa Springs, check out Buckaroos Horse Drawn rides! If there is snow you can do a sleigh ride but don't worry if there isn't, they have a wagon to pull as well. Grab some hot cocoa or Cider and cozy up with a blanket to take in the scenery along the way!

I saw this reminder on another page and thought I would share here. Pagosa Is a small town and if you are planning to eat out it takes some planning as most places close fairly early and many are closed on Mondays. Call before you head out.

If you're looking for a fun family activity off the ski mountain definitely check out San Juan Sled Dogs!! We had an awesome morning with these pups! If there isn't enough snow, the folks here will work out an experience for you so you'll still have a chance to get on the trails with the dogs. These dogs are well cared for, love people and most importantly love their work. They were so excited to get pulling this morning and we loved watching how smart and happy they were. Can't beat the toasty fire, s'mores and gorgeous views out there either!!

Looking for something to do off the slopes or just out of the cold? Our family of 4 enjoyed the escape room in town. We picked the 80s theme when we went but there are 3 themes and they change every so often. Staff was super friendly and we had a fun time!
