Pahrump, Nevada

Pahrump, Nevada Pahrump, Nevada is just an hour's drive from both Las Vegas and Death Valley. From wineries to motorsports, this town is truly your base camp to adventure.
(52)

As you might imagine, things are happening in Pahrump these days. From top-notch wineries (Pahrump Valley Winery and Sanders Family Winery) with tastings daily to the largest specialty coffee roaster in Southern Nevada (Pahrump Valley Roasters). Of course, with Front Site Fi****ms Institute and Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch right here, it’s very evident Pahrump can and does fulfill any and eve

ryone’s desire for adventure. It’s all just part of the reason Pahrump is Your Base Camp To Adventure. Because along with everything you can find to do here, there are quite a few adventures awaiting just a few miles away. Hiking. Geocaching. Camping. Exploring. You name it. It’s here or close by. For instance, Death Valley— officially the hottest place on earth. Photographers as well as visitors love its stark and natural beauty. Be sure to check out Furnace Creek, maybe even play a round of golf. Head to Badwater, the lowest point in the United States.

4-wheeling your specialty? Plenty of places to test your 4-wheeler or head off road with your ATV. Speaking of 4-wheel vehicles, maybe a golf cart is more your speed. If so, have we got some golf courses for you: Mountain Falls Golf Course and Lakeview Executive Golf Course. Both present the kind of challenges golfers love. And they’re exquisitely beautiful to simply look at as well. Suffice it to say, there’s plenty going on in and around Pahrump. Let the adventures begin. http://visitpahrump.com

Great celebration full of so much meaning! In honor of Juneteenth, Death Valley National Park is providing complimentary entrance fees!

In honor of Juneteenth National Independence Day, no pass or fee is required to enter national parks tomorrow, 6/19! (Note that some parks may still require a reservation due to high visitation).

Tips for a safe Death Valley summer visit:
▪️ Know your limits and acclimatize to heat over multiple days.
▪️ Avoid the heat. After 10 am, stay within a short walk of an air-conditioned car, or hike at high elevations, which are cooler.
▪️ Avoid the sun. Seek shade during the hottest time of the day. Wear a hat and consider carrying an umbrella.
▪️ Drink plenty of water.
▪️ Eat salty snacks.
▪️ Travel only on paved roads. The park has limited cell phone service. If your vehicle breaks down, stay with your vehicle so you have shelter and can be found more easily.

Stay cool out there!

National parks preserve so much more than natural places. Check out some of the National Park Service sites which protect emancipation locations and stories: https://ow.ly/wOag50SkltX

All units of the National Park Service will be waiving entrance fees on June 19. Camping fees will still be charged. Death Valley National Park’s standard entrance fee is $30/vehicle or $25/motorcycle. An annual pass to all national parks is $80. Seniors 62 or older pay $20 for an annual pass to all parks. Veterans, active military, permanently disabled people, and families with fourth-grade students qualify for free passes.
