Great Smoky Mountains National Park has two key ingredients that result in an abundance of waterfalls: elevation gradient and ample rainfall.

The park receives over 85 inches of average rainfall each year, which rushes down the tallest peaks to the lower elevations creating over 100 spectacular waterfalls along the way.

Many of our beautiful waterfalls are tucked deep into the backcountry and offer a sense of peace and tranquility, while others can be seen from the comfort of your vehicle, such as Place of a Thousand Drips along Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail (pictured).

Our last review:

We went with 3 families and there were more than enough rooms/baths for everyone. Home was very clean & updated and kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook. Views were amazing, sunsets were gorgeous and will definitely stay here again if we come back to pigeon forge!
