Yes, bears are one of several wildlife predators that the Pioneertown community strive to live peacefully with.

🚨 Important Announcement for Pioneertown Residents: Help Protect Wildlife and Your Neighborhood 🚨

Did you know? If a bear becomes a nuisance, it isn’t relocated—it’s killed! But you can make a difference and help prevent this tragic outcome.

If your neighborhood has had close encounters with bears, you can mitigate safety risks while protecting wildlife by using bear-resistant trash containers. Thanks to Supervisor Rowe’s support, Burrtec is now offering these specialized containers to Pioneertown residents for an additional charge of $16.47/month (on top of the regular service fee).

This service is completely voluntary, but it’s a great step toward keeping both our community and local wildlife safe! 🐾

If you're good at building repairs, this is your time to shine.

Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or a first-timer looking to make a difference, we’d love to have you on board. Please make sure to register ahead of time. ( friendsofpioneertown.org/activities/ ) If you can’t register, just show up at 9 AM on the day, and we’ll welcome you with open arms.

Hello,

I want to reach out to personally say I am so deeply sorry for the confusion I have caused. I certainly do not own Pioneertown, I never should have said that and I apologize for doing so. I want you to know that I did not mean any harm, I absolutely love Pioneertown and I simply got too excited talking about it. My first date with my husband was there and our wedding was at the Soundstage. We wanted to become part of the community so we invested in a home and other properties there.

We are contacting any and all reporters to make sure they update their stories and correct the record. Again, I am so sorry to the people of Pioneertown, I would never want to disrespect the town’s history or any of the people who make it such a wonderful place.

Please Help Save The Joshua Tree. Ancient Joshua Trees are going extinct, and we must save them. The Aratina Solar Project in Boron, California, is approved to destroy nearly 4000 ancient Joshua Trees in this forest (Each Blue Dot on the map represents an old growth Joshua Tree). These iconic trees have stood for centuries, providing habitat for numerous species and contributing to the unique biodiversity of our region. Yes, renewable energy is important. Killing thousands of Joshua Trees to put in a solar farm is not the answer. There are plenty of paved areas where solar could be installed that would not harm an already endangered species.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for yesterday's Annual Community Bake-off and Pony Express Ride! It was wonderful to see friends and neighbors reconnecting and to welcome new visitors. The wonderful performance from local favorite's Tumbleweed Timemachine (), it is always a good time their playing.

A special THANK YOU to Pappy + Harriet's (), Red Dog Saloon ( ), The Tiny Pony (.tiny.pony) , The Copper Room ( ), and Snakebite Roadhouse ( ) for their incredible support and generous prize donations for the bake-off winners.
