Yesterday was an early day as I changed hotels in Vienna & then waited for my private tour guide to pick me for my tour of Budapest! It was an easy drive and I learned so much! Then, I got to see many of the highlights of the city including the breathtaking view from Gellert Hill, the Parliament Building, one of the best Christmas Markets in Europe, and more! Then, I had the most amazing lunch - it was Chicken Paprikash and it was SO good! I will definitely come back here! I loved this tour because when you do a small group or private tour, it’s easy to have it customized to your interests!

Day 6 was a very busy day that started with an early morning visit to Schönbrunn Palace! We were the first group to enter and the Christmas Markets in the courtyard were opening as we came out, which was amazing timing! After that, it was time for some cake & coffee at one of the most well-known cafes in Vienna. I walked around and got some souvenirs for my kids and then it was time to head to our farewell dinner! The evening ended with a beautiful concert, which is simply a must in Vienna! It was a great experience with and a guided group tour is a great way to experience the world! I’d love to tell you more and find the perfect fit for you!

Today we traveled through the Czech Republic and made a stop in the enchanting little town, Cesky Krumlov. We explored, ate lunch, did a little shopping and then continued south to Vienna, Austria! Cesky Krumlov was the perfect fairytale town and I highly recommend a visit if you have the chance! When we arrived in Vienna, we got a little peek at the Christmas Markets - some have already started - and they look amazing! I will be exploring those in more detail this weekend!

Today cemented my love of Prague!😍 We did a tour of the Prague Castle & St. Vitus Cathedral to start the day and then made our way to Old Town and the Jewish Quarter. This city is so charming! It would be easy to add on before your river cruise or make it a multi-city trip in Central Europe. Prague, I will definitely be back! Tomorrow - it’s time to head to Vienna!

Day 3 of this trip was an early day! We traveled to the Saxony region of Germany and stopped in Dresden. We had a city tour & ate some lunch before heading on to Prague!
Then, we walked to Old Town Prague to have dinner and it was wonderful! The city is absolutely stunning all lit up!😍

Day 2 in Berlin was another great experience! It started with a city tour with our local expert, Tobi. We saw the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, and Museum Island. We learned more about the Berlin Wall and what life was like in East and West Berlin. The tour ended with a visit to Checkpoint Charlie.
Then in the evening, we went to dinner and for dessert, I had a delicious soufflé! Now, it’s on to Prague and I am giddy excited!

Day 1 was all about the history of Berlin, specifically pertaining to N**i Germany & World War II. This morning, I opted for a walking tour about the Third Reich and World War II. I had the opportunity to see multiple historic locations and had an interesting conversation with our guide.
Then it was time for the welcome dinner and the food was delicious! After that, it was time for an impromptu stop at Brandenburg Gate! This city is amazing & tomorrow I get to explore in more time.

If you know me at all, you know that I am a history geek to the core and that Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year! Tomorrow, I am heading over to Europe for a trip that checks a few destinations off my personal travel bucket list and I am SO excited to share them with my clients! Travel is personal, it’s about making memories and personal connections, and this trip is definitely the case for me! While it is a work trip and an educational experience that I am thrilled to have, I can’t help but think about my family when I think about how excited I am for this trip! From the time that I was very young, the holiday season was filled with traditions for my family. My grandmother - Nana - made sugar cookies with me and my cousins, we had cocoa and said cookies for breakfast on Christmas morning, we went to midnight mass and we sang “Silent Night” as we left church. I even learned how to sing it in German! There are so many wonderful memories around the holidays and I’ve passed on some of those traditions with my children. My Nana is also a big reason why I love history. She encouraged me to read, to learn about our family, and she even had our family history written out and traced back to the 1800’s. So, that grew to a passion for history overall and for my own personal history and Europe is filled with it!
On this trip, I am visiting Berlin, Prague, and Vienna and I’m extending my trip to spend a few extra days in Vienna and Budapest! I will get to experience the history of Europe and the magic of the holiday season with the start of some of the Christmas Markets! I’d love for you to follow along! Thinking about a vacation to Greece? With over 6,000 islands & islets and 227 that are inhabited, you have many options to choose from! Don’t worry, I am here to help you and I will develop the perfect itinerary for you! However, I have some recommendations too!
Here is a suggested itinerary for your vacation:
🇬🇷Fly into Athens and spend a few nights close to the Acropolis, a private tour is the best way to see the city and this can be customized for families!
🇬🇷 Take the ferry or fly to your first island - I suggest either Mykonos or Santorini! Here, you can enjoy picturesque views, shopping, and more! Consider a food/wine tour or snorkeling in the Aegean Sea! I recommend staying at least 2-3 nights!
🇬🇷Then, it’s time to island hop! Naxos and Paros are great choices for a relaxed vibe with beautiful beaches. Rhodes is a wonderful choice if you enjoy history!
🇬🇷At the end of your vacation, you can fly or take the ferry back to Athens to fly home! You may want to come back to Athens the night before you fly home!

Let’s go to Portugal! 🇵🇹 This beautiful country has so much to offer so let’s dive in! Here are a few possibilities:
✨Lisbon - this is the largest city Portugal, located on the coast and known for beautiful architecture such as the São Jorge Castle, a variety of museums displaying stunning ceramic tiles, and more!
✨Porto - The second largest city in Portugal is located on the northwestern coast🌊, known for its stately bridges & wine production 🍷
✨The Algarve Region - Known for its beautiful beaches and golf resorts, this is the southernmost region of the country.
✨The Azores - From whale watching to hiking to unique experiences on each island, the Azores are made up of 9 islands to explore!

My suggestion: Why not combine one or two cities on the mainland with a visit to the Azores? Contact me for more details!

Today we toured & explored the island of Terceira from a volcanic chimney to beautiful views of the whole island and charming streets in the towns. The Azores is a great vacation option for those looking to be active, be on the water, experience the culture and more! It’s easy to combine your visit to a few different islands or a stop in Lisbon or Porto!

🌎Travel Tip Tuesday🌎
Long layovers are the worst right? Personally, I would recommend a longer layover vs. one that is tight! You may be wondering how to spend your time while you’re waiting but luckily, I have an answer for you!
Many airlines offer lounges for guests to utilize while they are waiting. This is included for some fare types but you can also purchase a pass. This gives you a nice place to relax with food and beverages available as well as Wi-Fi.
In Newark, there’s a nice view of the New York City Skyline in the lounge!
