Glacier National Park Cabin for Sale

Glacier National Park Cabin for Sale 2 BR Cabin in town feels secluded with trees on two sides and expansive views from the front and back decks. Quality build in 2006. It's a MUST SEE!

Off the grid but propane powered furnace, fridge and oven, a wood burning stove and 900-watt solar power on .93 ace lot. This cabin, still owned by the couple who originally bought the land, is truly ONE OF A KIND in Polebridge! It's one of the newer cabins in town, built in 2006 by the highest rated premier builder in the Flathead valley region, Wayne Benson. The cabin is located just 1 mile from

the Northwest entrance to GLACIER NATIONAL PARK, (GNP) and a few minutes walk to the North Fork of the Flathead River, one of the best fishing and rafting rivers in the U.S. One of the best aspects of living in town is the ability to walk just 5 minutes to the Polebridge Mercantile & Bakery and the Northern Lights Saloon & Cafe! The Polebridge Mercantile is a one-stop shop for all your groceries, supplies, gifts, clothes, books and gas. They sell the best local microbrews, coffee, ice cream and of course in-house baked goods like their famous Huckleberry Bear Claws! Next door the Northern Lights offers a full menu which can be enjoyed outside while listening to some of the best live musicians in the state. Even though the cabin is "in town", it feels secluded among pine and aspen trees while still having clear views of the mountain ranges on BOTH sides. From the front porch you can see across the valley to the Whitefish Mountain Range and from the back deck you can enjoy an amazing view of the Majestic Lewis and Livingston Ranges in Glacier National Park. The wildlife far outnumbers the town population and is evident with frequent sightings of deer, elk, coyotes, eagles, beavers and sometimes even a pack of wolves. You may even see moose, bear or a mountain lion as they pass through. The cabin was built with the highest rated insulation, double pane windows and a quality wood burning stove to create a warm and cozy retreat during the winter months. When you wake to the snow falling, the white tipped mountains and the mist over the valley, you'll think you're in heaven! This cabin is surrounded by thousands of acres of state and national forests, with numerous hiking trials and alpine lakes and campgrounds to enjoy. The West Glacier entrance to GNP is only 30 miles from the cabin, giving you access to Lake McDonald and the spectacular Going to the Sun Road. The cabin has one master bedroom with a Queen size rustic bed on the first floor, a second bedroom with 2 twin beds upstairs in the large loft, a bathroom on the first floor with a commercial-size composting toilet (looks like a regular toilet), and a large open living room kitchen area. The cabin is off the grid, meaning no electricity or cell service. BUT it has a good sized wood burning stove and a propane powered furnace for heat, a propane refrigerator, and propane range,

We also added 900-watts of solar panels to the roof adding solar power with a 24-volt system and a 2500 watt Outback inverter that is integrated into the cabins fully-wired electrical system. Potable water is obtained from a hand pump located just off the front porch and can be quickly heated on the range or stove if needed.. The well was drilled in 2006 and tested regularly. Water is not plumbed into the cabin but may be added. Water rights of one acre-foot are included with the cabin. This cabin is 900 sq feet, 1100+ if you include the back deck as living space where you'll spend most of your time. The lot is .93 acres and besides the cabin, it includes a gravel driveway, a large front grassy area we often mowed, a side yard with aspen trees where we hang our hammocks and a large firepit area. On the land on the other side of the house we built an outdoor shower, a fenced in garden and a large shed with an additional room set up for a hot sauna. Just off the deck in the back of the house is an open area perfect for a picnic table and lawn games. It's surrounded by aspen and pines with a clear view of the mountain peaks in Glacier National Park. Contact us for questions and stop by to check it out! Asking $249K
