Eddie Almendaez of San Antonio caught this black drum using sea lice at Roberts Point Park on Sunday, March 10. The drum weighed about 40 pound according to Almendaez and was released after the photo was taken.

We had a unique patient admitted recently after flying into a window and was picked up by a dog. Thankfully this Burrowing Owl was only with us for a short period due to not having any injuries.

He was placed in our flight cage to ensure there was no lasting effects following the collision. Our veterinarian cleared him for release after having clear X-rays and flying well.
