A brief look at our Weapons Performance simulator Lab in Port Orange, FL.
Our training facility in Port Orange features a state-of-the-art use-of-force and active shooter simulator lab equipped with the same simulators used by elite military and law enforcement units and highly decorated competition shooting teams. Our simulators can offer law enforcement and civilians, marksmanship, and scenario-based judgment training. Our highly immersive JTS software can test your reaction times and decision-making skills on thousands of scenarios intricately crafted on today's emerging threats for conceal carry use-of-force and professional duty roles. Our facility provides an immersive and safe environment for simulated and live-fire self-preservation training.
Our state-of-the-art simulators can augment live-fire using inert training pistols designed by firearms engineers to replicate function, trigger weight, take-up, reset, and recoil with corresponding overt and covert carry accessories, and duty and and concealed weapons attachments. In addition we provide supplementary and cost-effective training assets to competition shooters for USPSA and SCSA simulations.

Another fun project recently, Fend Industries was contracted as a consultant for a large motion capture studio to record accurate footage of weapons manipulation and manual of arms. Motion capture (MOCAP) suits are used by large developers like infinity ward, Activision and others to develop realistic war video games. It took a team of interns to get me into that skin tight suit covered in tracking balls and while it’s a little tedious to train in a half-a-million dollar MOCAP system it was an amazing experience getting to conduct room clearing, breaching, and other drills to record inertial movements for 3D animated characters. Keep an eye out for further details on this project and more brief internal recordings that were approved to be released to the public on our YouTube channel. Big thanks to Chris Caso and the MOCAP team at Full Sail for their support, technical knowledge, and guidance.

As more and more commercial and LE/MIL units move towards thermal optics, we are poised to make that transition more effective and seamless. We’ve reached our final stages of testing before we submit our thermal target systems for independent testing for DOD military application. We have spent countless hours building data profiles on an array of optics and in the most austere conditions. We are confident in our product and it’s ability to fill training gaps and solve common problems in this space, while fulfilling the demand for prolonged and reusable thermal signatures on live-fire targets. Gone are the days of MRE heaters and temporary IR chemlights. Our proprietary coating and application process gives targets human signatures in any condition, and after hundreds of multi-caliber impacts. This cost effective solution just made zeroing and training with night optics, that much easier.
