Our chamber team had the honor and pleasure of attending the opening ceremony of Kootenai County Fire & Rescue Station 4. The most adorable young man sang the national anthem after the posting of colors. They did a traditional wetting down ceremony and instead of a ribbon-cutting, they uncouple a fire hose that’s never been used. It was a wonderful ceremony and a beautiful new addition to serve our community for years to come. We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our first responders.

Good Morning KCFR Friends…
Just a reminder that we will hold our ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for our new Fire Station 4 tomorrow June 8th! The ceremony begins at 9am with the open house immediately following.
The station is located on Kathleen, just west of 4th Street on the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. Parking is available on the west and north sides of the building!
Come see your new firehouse, meet your firefighters and enjoy a morning of celebration!

What a great day at the 32nd Annual Post Falls Open! It was perfect weather and let me tell you we were due for good weather 🙂 
2/5ths of our team is brand new and they did AH Mazing! Today was RaeAnne Capaul’s “unofficial” anniversary with us and let me say these ladies did an incredible job!
I am so grateful to have such a great group of people to work with!

2023 Volunteer of Year- This award seeks to recognize and show appreciation for the volunteer efforts of a Chamber member who has given generously of their time and enthusiasm on behalf of the organization and the community in a variety of ways. This year’s recipient has a big personality and a servant’s heart to match. He’s an influential leader whose time on the Chamber’s Board of Directors just ended in December. When he retired from his professional career he most certainly didn’t retire from being an asset and a blessing to the community. In times of celebration or times of tragedy, this year’s recipient embodies Mr. Rogers’ quote “Look for the helpers.
