1-Year Anniversary! We competed renovations on our adorable lake cabin and began hosting guests a year ago today.

“We had a great Mother’s Day weekend at A-Frame of Mind. It is located in a beautiful wooded area with trails and in close proximity to the lake. It is a short drive to Eisenhower State Park where we had a fun hike. The home is just right for family gatherings. We spent a lot of time on the deck and around the campfire. Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge is one of our favorite places to visit! No matter what time of year, there is an abundance of wildlife to see. There are some great hikes or you can also drive through it in your car and listen to their audio tour.

There’s nothing better than being able to walk a few minutes from our cabin to the lake, toss a hook into the water, and catch a fish. We provide basic fishing equipment to our guests. Or you can bring your boat or book a fishing guide to get out on the water for the big hunt. We love when guests share the pictures of their catch with us! 🎣

The wildflowers are in bloom! 🥰 Our favorite is the Entireleaf Indian Paintbrush. We found them all over, and they are also some patches of bluebonnets mixed in with them too. We love all the colors of spring!!

Spring is the perfect time to enjoy our HUGE 1400 sf deck. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning while listening to the bird sing. Soak in the sun in our lounges. Play our Giant Connect 4 or Large Dice Yahtzee. Grill up a steak for your family. Chat with friends around the firetable. Or relax with your honey in our hot tub in the evening while enjoy the string lights surrounding the backyard.

In addition to our huge deck, we also have a balcony off our upstairs bedroom. It’s the perfect spot for reading a book surrounded by nature.

Yay, we are now an Airbnb SUPERHOST and a GUEST FAVORITE!!! And in just our 1st quarter with our new listing! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥳🥰

We’ve been hosting since June 2023 but were listed with a National Property Management Company. We dropped them at the end of the year, so we could have better and direct communication with our guests. But by doing that, we had to create a brand-new listing, and we lost all 14 of our 5-star reviews on Airbnb (20+ total across all platforms) and our GUEST FAVORITE status. 😢

But now in only our 1st quarter managing our new listing, we have achieved SUPERHOST status which is a small group of only about 7% of all hosts and GUEST FAVORITE which means we are one of the most-loved homes on Airbnb. We are very honored and committed to continuing to provide our guests with an experience worthy of a 5-star review. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wow, is that a big catfish caught at our lake!! Lake Texoma is known as the “Striper Capital of the World”. But did you know anglers also pull huge catfish out of this lake? There are lots of guides we can connect you with to book the perfect trip for whatever fish you are looking for.

Our first spring break together, we went camping with friends at Lake Texoma. We fell in love with the lake but never would have dreamed then that we would be celebrating our 33rd spring together in our own cabin at Lake Texoma.

It was one year ago today that we found our adorable cabin in the woods and knew it was fate. It’s been an amazing year, and we are looking forward to another successful year hosting and helping our guests create lasting memories of their own.

Where the water meets the sky! Spring (which basically has come early to the lake 😉) is the perfect time to get out on the water and enjoy more serene moments. You can rent a boat at Highport Marina, just a few minutes away. Or use one of our 2 kayaks to explore the coves around our cabin. Come let the healing power of water soothe your soul!
