Delayed flights and missed connections due to Friday's IT GLITCH impacted my client's trip to Grenada on Sunday. With 1 flight offered from MIA down to Grenada and all of the chaos at the airport, my clients (14 pax) were advised by gate agent they couldn't get them down until Tuesday or Wednesday (and that would be standy by). This was devasting news..... I had to put on my thinking cap and think of ALL OPTIONS for them. I called private jet service , just to see what the cost would be (1-2 days and $$$$)...then I knew my only hope was to get them as close to Grenada as possible..... so I found a flight down to Barbados leaving that evening at 6:25 PM arriving late around 11:00 PM. Barbados is close to Grenada , about 45 min by plane. I managed to negotiate with American Airlines to get them as close to their destination as possible and I would figure out the rest..... Thankfully they issued a new ticket! Now I had to find a plane to get them over to Grenada...... Caribbean Airlines offered a 10:00 AM flight.
All in all, things happen (more and more these days).....it's finding the best solution , negotiating rates and service. And though my clients lost 1 night at the resort, they arrived the next morning at 11:00 am - and were checked in and enjoying lunch by noon! They didn't sleep on the floor in the airport - and thankfully their luggage made it !!!! As a travel agent, it's more than getting a booking .....it's serving clients from beginning to end.....Special thanks to Caribbean Airlines, The Crane and Spice Island Beach Resort for helping me make it happen!!!!

On this fun tour , we traveled to see "Daniel" at Sight & Sound Theatres - Lancaster, PA and enjoyed a scenic ride on the oldest operating railroad in America 🚂 Strasburg Rail Road. A fun time had by all.
