The Butterfield House and Gooch Family Ranches had a great time hosting Operation Freedom Outdoors for a great time of fellowship, deer hunting and lots of food. Thank you for your service. You men Rock!

Renovations are they ever really complete😂? We are almost there. We just need to finish the game room/family room. However, we are “Getaway” ready. If you need a place to gather think of us. Showers, small family reunions or just a couple’s quiet getaway we can be your home away from home. 7 miles from town. WiFi if you have to keep in touch with the outside world. Come porch sit.

Gooch Ranch and the Butterfield House has expanded thru the help of friends offering us a chance to own a terrific tract of land surrounding the Butterfield House and bordering the ranch. Thank you to The White Family our long time friends. ❤️🥰

Happy Easter!!! Wild Easter egg hunt with the greats and grands at the Butterfield House. Only problem was we all ate way to much. A family of excellent cooks.

We can’t wait to see you and for you to come see us. Won’t be long and we will be accepting reservations for a stay at our unique getaway. 6 miles from town on Norris Road which follows the original Butterfield Stage Route and only a mile from the historic Edward’s Store. We are nearing completion. Still some cosmetic projects for the outside and finishing the man cave/game room. Anticipation is high. ❤️

The only known photo on the Butterfield Trail during the time of Butterfield's service. This stage wagon is at the Texas-New Mexico border early 1861. Notice that the driver-conductor's seat is the same level as the passengers. This was one of the unique features of Butterfield's stage wagons. The drawing was made by partly tracing the image.
