The two Osprey chicks are getting bigger by the day. They will begin to fledge around the end of July.

Proud Parents!! It appears that the Osprey chicks have hatched.
Two nests on the Railroad Bridge! In addition to the Osprey nest, the seagulls have taken over the old Osprey nest on the swing span.
The Osprey chicks will hatch around June 9th..
May 1st video shows the Osprey moving a large branch to the perfect spot. Since this video was taken, the female now appears to be sitting on the eggs. If so, the eggs will hatch around June 9th.
The Osprey have decided that the Swing Span has too much commotion going on with the construction. They are now working on a new nest on the Span next to the swing span. We are lucky that they stayed close by so we could continue to watch them.
The Osprey have returned and are working on their nest!! Happy to see that the work being done on the swing span of the railroad bridge has not detoured them.

The Center has recorded 6.33 inches of rain, so far, for the recent storm!
Osprey chicks flapping their wings and practice hovering in preparation for fledging. The Osprey will still depend on the parents for food and stay with the nest until they migrate in September.

Osprey Update! It has been difficult to see the nest the last week with the Swing Span of the bridge being open. Enjoy this video of the two Osprey Chicks! They are getting bigger and will fledge around August 9th.

It appears the Osprey may have laid their eggs. It will take about 38 days for the eggs to hatch. We will keep a close watch for the chicks the week of June 19th..
