Endearingly referred to as "Boss", at Emerald Glazie
rs, Ms. Finnegan is an educated, talented, and successful entrepeneur. With her career experience in Office Management, and a Degree in Business Management, Candy was seeking to start a successful business venture. Alongside her spouse, John Finnegan, Ms. Finnegan has endured countless long days and late nights, of blueprints and bidding and those often, but necessary, phone calls during dinner, to G.C's or Vendors. She held the title of Office Manager for Mr. Finnegan's MHIC Residential Glass and Glazing Company. With that being said, Candy has also earned the title of "Spouse of a Glazier". Those in the Glass and Glazing industry, know just what we mean! So, when deciding on a business venture, Candy decided to combine her husband John's expertise and her gained knowledge in the Glass and Glazing Industry. Then combined that with her education, many years of management experience, and natural affinitity for Business. Thus, Emerad Glaziers, was born, in December 2010. Project Manager- John Finnegan
Referred to as " Mr. Productivity" around here, John, was the inspiration for Emerald Glaziers. John started in the Glass & Glazing industry in 1991, as a Laborer. After years of mentoring under some of the best talent in the field, he had achieved the statuses of Fabrication Shop Manager, and Field Foreman. In 2003, John left his long-held position, to pursue business ownership. Finnegan started Emerald Contracting, an MHIC Licensed Home Improvement Company, which specialized in Residential Windows, Doors, and Sliding Glass. After 5 successful years in the Residential Glazing Industry, John partnered up with an well-established insulation and weatherization company, in Baltimore. There, he started, co-headed and managed the Windows and Doors Division. Fast forward to December 2010, when John's wife Candy, decided to start her own business. Having many talents, in several fields herself, there was still no doubt in her mind, that she would utilize her husband's lifelong expertise in Glass and Glazing. When deciding upon who to hire, job titles, duties and such, Candy said, "It wasn't just because my husband is a lifelong Glazier, that he's the Project Manager. For that matter, he's talented enough to have started Emerald Glaziers himself. We collaboratively decided where he would be best suited for the benefit of the company, as a whole I knew if I was going to start a business in this industry, I had to have good talent. So, it was moreso a wise business choice for me, rather than a bias."
