I spent the afternoon at Hillwood Museum and Gardens and was overwhelmed by the beautiful azaleas, tulips and orchids. Marjorie Merriweather Post certainly knew how to please the senses in her gardens!

Watching the Ramsey Marching band rehearse for the Memorial Day Parade. Tune in and watch them. They are amazing

You never know what you will see on the National Mall…today it was a parade of Park Police horses to kick off “Police Week” and about 80 construction vehicles on display for “Festival of Construction on the ational Mall”. Always something to see in DC!

Spending 3 days in DC and 1 1/2 days in Gettysburg has been a blast. Second year guiding St Peters School and looking forward to next year already!

This week I had a wonderful group of 8th graders from Indiana. They were totally engaged and so much fun! Groups like this one are the reason I am a DC Tour Guide. Such fond memories!

Georgetown Glow had 5 unique light displays throughout Georgetown. By far my favorite is the view of the Kennedy Center across the Potomac as it’s lit up for Honors!

The National Air and Space Museum on the National Mall has been closed for several years, undergoing a major renovation. Today I got to take a preview tour before it opens next week. You’ll need to book tickets on their website to enter, and it is well worth the visit. Many interactive and mind-blowing exhibits! Enjoy photos of some of the new exhibits!
