Smith's Green Mountain renovator was once an East Georgia, Vt product but these bottles are from the Saint Albans, Vt era. The Green Mountain Renovator was very popular cure/ fix all type products. I only find newspaper advertisements from 1876 to about 1903 even tho I know this product is older then that.

Daniel Dutcher part of the well established Dutcher Dynasty. He operated the "City Drug Store" here in Saint Albans, VT at 9 lake street just under the American house witch is the building on the northern side on lake and main. I've found advertisements from the 1870s to the early 1900s.

I was able to aquire this original photo of Frank Charron's Furniture and piano moving Co. This piece of Saint Albans,Vt history dates to about 1910. I'm not for sure but I'd imagine the man holding the horse is Mr Charron and his son in the carriage. The earliest Mention of Mr. Charron is 1906 in the local newspaper, it mention he being on the committee to help with city improvements. I do also remember reading in an old newspaper of an incident of his son falling off the family businesses, horse-drawn carriage and breaking multiple ribs. I also included a few articles about Mr. Charron's purchase of his " Big Auto Truck" that gose 18 whole miles an hour. I also remember reading an article about him. Taking orphan children on a car ride back in the early Days of automobiles.

I was able to purchase this Downtown Saint Albans Relic this summer. This turn of the century stoneware oyster crock reads " The Cash Store Co. St. Albans 108 Main St VT." The Cash Store operated next to Brianards Drug Store in the 1890s.

Small stenciled local crocks with addresses are very sought after with collector's. So I am very happy that it's Im my collection.

Here is a 1910 Vermont Vintage Postcards of the Bellevue theater and all the way to the right is City Hall. These three building of Saint Albans Vermonts main street hasnt changed much.

The ever elusive Dutcher's No. 50 Cologne. I plucked this N.O.S. label from an antique shop about 40 minutes from Saint Albans Vt. This was another patented product that was sold and prepared by Dutcher Druggist of Saint Albans, Vermont. I found this amongst postcards which I don't usually search. I guess, I'm going to do that more often now!

This is one the rarer bottles in the Dutchers collection. I've dug two broken examples in the few years I've been digging. I guess the quality of the glass wasn't the greatest. After showing this to a relative of the Dutcher family. I was told there was a surplus of these labels within the family, So I'm very confident in it authenticity after showing her. The other picture is a broken embossed panel from one of the broken ones, I have found.

Managed to snag these outta my Uncles yard yesterday. His house was built in the 50s but there's many other house in his neighborhood built in the 1800s. Harmonica reids and suspender clasps are staples finds in the metal detecting world, there always fun finds.

Germany's paper currency from the 1920s. May not be local history but still some interesting history. I was gifted these by a co-worker, his grandfather was a Veteran of World War 2.

This weekends treasures. Rainy day today so we hit up our local habitat for humanity.

I picked up some old frames. One happened to have an old photo of the old Shelburne VT Railroad Depot along with locomotive #220 from the Central Vermont Railroad company. The writing on the back of the photo gose on to talk about President Coolidge taking this train in 1915 with other well-known celebrities on one of many visit home to VT. I also scooped up this gallon and a half bean crock.
