In our continuing efforts to improve our little slice of heaven, we have made even more upgrades and replacements in addition to our previous work weekend. All TVs have been replaced and we dumped the ever-increasingly disappointing channel selection of cable for YouTubeTV (we included instructions too!). The garbage disposal was replaced. We replaced some electrical outlets in bedrooms and the kitchen with outlets with USB chargers. The fire pit was replaced. We added nightstands to the front bedroom. Many pieces of furniture were tweaked and repaired. The back deck was pressure washed and sealed, and the swing and outdoor shower were stained. In case it's needed, a cute desk was added to the dining area. We hope these additions and improvements allow you to enjoy your stay in the future!

We made it down finally! We wanted to address some issues noted by guests this summer.
1. We replaced the front door k**b for the 5th time! Let's hope this one works for a while!
2. We removed brick from the front walk & leveled, relaid & resanded. Looks like a mole went crazy under it & bumped many out of place!
3. Pulled weeds, sprayed, & put out fresh pine straw.
4. Hung 2 new hammock chairs.
5. Deep cleaning, including baseboards, the oven, & grill.
6. Washed all comforters & put a new one in the front bedroom.
7. Bought new kitchen towels & washcloths.
8. Upgraded the wifi system.
9. Ordered 2 new dining chairs.
10. Recovered the front love seat with navy.
11. Organized the master bath linen closet.
More will happen in a few weeks when the dining chairs come in. In the meantime, please enjoy our slice of heaven!

The Story of Us

We’ve been vacationing on St. Simon’s at least 3 times a years since 2006. After renting the same house well over a dozen times, we knew exactly what we were looking for in a house once we decided to purchase. We fell in love with a neglected, worn beauty a mere 2 blocks from the beach that was spared by the flooding from Irma in Sept. 2017. The yard was completely transformed and we kept the charm of the original 1943 front part of the house while making the inside feel fresh and welcoming. Georgia Beach Rentals has been a dream to work with and we are proud to offer our Barefoot Breeze Bungalow to you for your vacation memories starting in April 2018.
