RED AND PURPLE FLAGS! 6/8/24

SWFD lifeguards are flying red and purple flags on Saturday, June 8. We are utilizing the red and purple flags today out of an abundance of caution due to Friday’s incidents.

It is important to us that beach patrons recognize and understand the risk of the open water as it pertains not just to surf hazards, but marine life. We ask you to remain situationally aware at all times.

Walton County Sheriff's Office, Florida, MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife, and SWFD are working together today to patrol the water and shoreline with boats and vehicles.

We prioritize your safety. Please swim carefully today, respect the Gulf, stay hydrated, and look out for your loved ones.

🚲 March 2: Celebrate the 3rd Anniversary of North Beach Social with a Spring Kickoff party sponsored by Bacardi with a Bacardi Bike Giveaway! The Kennedy's will play from 1-4PM, face painting for the kids 12-4PM, a Crab & Shrimp Boil all day. DJ Naura will spin the tunes from 6-9PM and there will be a photo booth. Double your favorite specialty drink in a Bacardi bucket for an additional $3.

🍀 March 17: The St. Paddy's Day Party at North Beach Social will feature the Wildlife Specials from 1-4PM, DJ 30A from 6-9PM & a photo booth. There will be face painting for the kids from 12-4PM. Plus, a seafood boil, as well as drink and food specials all day.

🐣 March 31: Celebrate Easter with an Easter Egg Hunt at 5:00PM, face painting for the kids 12-4PM, kids' crafts from 2-4PM, and live music by the Wildlife Specials from 1-4PM.

🥘 PAELLA Night:
Chef Joyce and her famous dish can be found at North Beach Social and Farm & Fire on Wednesdays and at 87 Central in Seaside on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Orders are taken starting at 5:30 PM and paella is ready around 6:30 PM. Chef Joyce learned her famous recipe while in Spain, which she has continued to tweak over the years to bring some panhandle flair. Her use of chorizo instead of plain sausage adds a little extra spice kick, so this dish is not for the faint of heart! North Beach Social customers can order paella at the counter as usual and receive a ticket for paella. When service starts, customers can grab their plates at the paella stand. Farm & Fire customers can order at their table or at the bar, and it is delivered table side.
