Many tropical drink recipes are served in a hurricane glass. Here is a recipe for the cocktail that inspired the specialized bar glass. It takes:
2 ounces of dark rum
2 ounces of light rum
2 ounces of passion fruit juice
1 ounce of orange juice
1 half ounce of lime juice
1 half ounce of grenadine
Fill a shaker with ice and add lime juice, followed by the remaining ingredients. Shake well and pour the drink into a hurricane glass. Garnish it with an orange peel and a maraschino cherry.

Mmmm, nothing beats a cool margarita on a warm Siesta Key beach day! Try this Pineapple Coconut Margarita:
Ingredients
2 oz pineapple
1 oz coconut milk
1.5 oz tequila
1/2 oz lime juice
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1 cup ice (small cubes)
1 tbsp desiccated coconut (for the rim)
Instructions
Blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth. Wet the rim of a glass with lime juice and roll it in the coconut, to coat the rim. Pour the cocktail into the glass and enjoy!

Next time you’re staying with us at Midnight Cove, why not whip up a Watermelon Margarita to enjoy by the pool?
Here’s how it’s done:
FOR RIM
2 tbsp. kosher salt
1 tbsp. granulated sugar
Zest of 1 lime
Lime wedge
FOR DRINK
4 c. chopped watermelon
1/4 c. lime juice
1/2 c. silver tequila
1/4 c. triple sec
4 watermelon slices, for garnish
4 lime rounds, for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Place watermelon on a large baking sheet and freeze until hardened, at least 2 hours.
Combine salt, sugar, and lime zest on a small plate and stir to combine. Use lime wedge to wet rim of margarita glasses then dip rims in salt mixture.
In a blender, combine frozen watermelon, lime juice, tequila, and triple sec and blend until smooth. Pour into rimmed glasses and garnish with a watermelon and lime round. Enjoy!
