Shop Local!
THROWBACK THURSDAY!!!
To last year's Scotts Valley Chambers "Shop Local". Relive the day and then join us this Saturday. It may have been November 28th last year but it's DECEMBER 11TH this year.
Stay. Shop. Dine. Scotts Valley - Commercial 2.
Commercial #2 for our Stay. Shop. Dine. Scotts Valley campaign now airing on KSBW TV Action News 8. You can see it at various times throughout the day including the news in the morning, noon, 5 and 11 p.m. This spot features Four Points by Sheraton Santa Cruz Scotts Valley, Treasures Fine Jewelry, Ashby Confections, Scarborough Gardens, Steel Bonnet Brewing Company, The Penny Ice Creamery, and Cruise Coffee Company. It was produced by Tam Communications for the Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce.
You’ll soon see banners hanging from the street light posts up and down Scotts Valley Drive. They’re going up as part of a Shop Local campaign intended to get out the message to “Stay. Shop. Dine.” in Scotts Valley. The Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce is behind the effort with Joanne Guzman of Bruno's Bar and Grill doing the graphic design and branding and printing by Dynamic Press. The colorful banners will celebrate all our great local businesses, many of whom have had a tough time through the pandemic. Fortunately, our city’s great community spirit have helped these businesses survive. As we enter the holiday season, keeping the message alive to shop local is more important than ever.
In conjunction with the banners, Tam Communications will be producing a series of television commercials on KSBW TV Action News 8 to show off all the awesome retail establishments, eateries, and hotel properties we have in town.
Funding for the entire #ShopLocal campaign came from a grant from the City of Scotts Valley. Scotts Valley Chamber Executive Director, Danny Reber, said “We are so fortunate to have such a business-friendly City staff that is invested in making sure our local businesses survive and thrive.”
Roaring Camp Railroads--A Gem In Our Own Backyard
This video was produced by Tam Communications for the Scotts Valley Economic Recovery Task Force, a partnership between the Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce and the City of Scotts Valley. It's a fun, short overview of our beloved Roaring Camp Railroads. Narrated by Tam Tim O'Connor Fraser.
