South through Mosquito Pass and across Haro Strait, we had great weather for the transit to Victoria. Ready for the Victoria Classic Yacht Festival!!!
The Swinomish Channel, or as I call it, "Scotty's Back-way", is always a fun trip. Scenic and interesting, the islands protect from wind and wave. Lovely!

After a Super, Quiet night n Reid Harbor, we hoisted the hook, and wandered around, enjoying sea life. The into the hustle and bustling Roche Harbor.
This morning the weather was PERFECT!
We left Deer Harbor, followed the Beautiful Schooner Martha into San Juan channel and dropped anchor in Friday Harbor. Just a lunch stop, then on to Reid Harbor, on Stuart Island.
The morning in Spencer Island Spit state park was very foggy, but soon the clouds gave way to a lovely day. We cruised up to Olga, to send crew ashore in search of oysters, then on through the islands to a dock in Deer Harbor Marina.
A cloudy morning was great for taking pictures along today's leg. South through the Swinomish Channel and up to Deception Pass. Then an easy crossing of Rosario Strait and into the San Juans via the Lopez Pass. We'll spend the night at anchor, Here close to Spencer Island Spit state park.

Leg #6 and final day of the Great South-Sound Cruise of 2024! Running north, with the ebb tide, on an absolutely Beautiful day! It's been a wonderful trip!
Leg #5 of the Great South-Sound Cruise 2024.
We departed Fair Harbor, just north of Reach Island and headed south through Case Inlet, around the islands and into Carr Inlet, to take some friends back to their home. Then on through the Tacoma Narrows and into Gig Harbor once again! It's been a lovely, calm overcast morning that became a sunny afternoon.

Leg #4 of the Great South-Sound Cruise. "Gunk-Holing", today! The art of visiting multiple ports and bays just to explore. We departed Oro Bay, headed south, accompanied by the beautiful JoHana K, then west into Carr Inlet, in light rain. First stop in south Fair Harbor, between Stretch and Reach Islands. Pulled the anchor and headed into Allyn for an anchorage and visit to "Allyn Days Festival, hen pulled the hook again and reset in the north part of Fair Harbor, north of Reach Island.
What a Great Day!
Leg #3 of the Great South-Sound Cruise! A lovely trip through the Tacoma Narrows, to a beach party at friends cabin. Then off again for a scenic trip, through Pitt Passage, to Oro Bay, in Anderson Island.
