We had an amazing visitor the other day! Cleaning up between guests, heard CAWing and scratching in the fireplace flue. Opened the flue and couldn't spot anybody. After some quiet waiting however, they emerged, apparently none the worse for wear. Sweet freedom!

We read an article on "Photos to boost your listing." Normally they're not terribly helpful, but this one was good! It recommended highlighting your kitchen amenities and your recreation/gaming supplies. Mission accomplished! All this stuff was already there, but here it all is, curated and highlighted to let folks see how awesome their stay will be. We'd sure like to stay here!

The Wildwood got to play host to a neighbor's 100th birthday this last weekend! The family learned it was the house's 100th anniversary too, and left a sweet birthday card dedicated to The Wildwood!!

Happy New Year from The Wildwood! We got to close out our year hosting families from Hong Kong and Alberta, Canada!

2023 marks the house's 100 year anniversary! Watch this page through the year as we will share some history of the house and plan to host an open house/party to celebrate the centenary (in good weather!).

The tide was heading out this morning at Cove Park next to the ferry dock and there were no signs of returning salmon near the beach, but we managed to spot two in the fish ladder from the view point across the street and up the stairs. 207 returning salmon have been spotted in Fauntleroy Creek thus far this season! We love being in this neighborhood!

The gusty winds on Friday blew down the bottom half of an abandoned hornet’s nest from the big cedar tree in the back yard. It’s fascinating to see the structures they built!
