A great way to help our friends at the local CP Center.❤️

1️⃣ minute before kickoff the McNairy County Carl Perkins Center will have the Annual “Miracle Minute!”⏱️
The clock will count down and volunteers on both sides, along with MCHS and AHS cheerleaders will pass buckets around to raise money for our Center!!!!
🫱🏻‍🫲🏽Our goal is to unite- One County, One Cause!!!🫱🏻‍🫲🏽
They not only want to raise money for the local child advocacy center serving children who have been physically and sexually abused, but to involve both county schools in their efforts!
They look forward to seeing everyone on August 30th for an exciting Friday night!!!!

A short 50th Anniversary Ceremony will be held today at 12:00 at the crash site where the lye Sherifd Buford Pusser was killed. Everyone is invited.

August 21st, 2024 marks 50 years since the passing of Sheriff Buford Pusser. A special wreath ceremony will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, August 21st at the site of the accident that took the late Sheriff's life. Buford Pusser Historian Steve Sweat will lead the ceremony and invites the community to take part.

On August 21, 1974, Sheriff Buford Pusser died in a fiery crash four miles west of Adamsville when his Corvette left the road, hitting an embankment in Lawton. The crash site is marked with a monument, and Highway 64 has been named the Buford Pusser Highway in his honor.

- Selmer Golf & Country Club located at 1254 Country Club Ln in Selmer, TN.
- Friday, October 18th with Tee time at 10am.

Registration:
- $300 for a 4 person team which includes 1 lunch, 1 Mulligan, & 1 Red Tee per player.
- Registration is open to the first 20 (4 person) teams.

Special notice: We made an announcement this morning regarding country music star Trace Adkins’ and a winter show. We have been working on this for several months. Last night, the McNairy County Commission approved our moving forward with the event. Since the commission meetings are public we began receiving calls and messages about the event. Let us be clear, while we have had a wonderful dialogue with Trace’s representatives, the date had NOT been locked in as of yet. We simply wanted to get it out there since our working on the event became public last night.
We will continue to work to secure a date and will keep you posted. We hope to have a firm date that has been approved very soon.

Rockin K Rodeo will present the McNairy County Stampede for St. Jude on Saturday, September 21st at the McNairy County AG Event Center. The event will include rough stock, barrel racing, bull riding and more.
Admission is $20 at the door and children 12 years of age and under free. This is NOT a ticket pre-sale event!
Proceeds will go to support St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
