Early fall Mountain Views! We came up for the weekend to do a little work around the chalet, and the tips of the trees are starting to turn 🍁

What owning a vacation rental REALLY looks like with 4 kids and a dog in tow 😂 Lots of movies and cluttered counters while we steam clean carpets, stain the stairs, and prune trees. We always plan one day for fun because it’s so easy to get sucked into the endless to-do list!

I spent quite a few hours with a paint brush this last week. Taking this basement bathroom from mustard horror to cute and modern really just took some paint and a fabulous art print by Swipe for the 😱 if you want to see a truly awful color choice for a windowless bathroom 😂

Giant ice creams at Kilwins in Blowing Rock is always a highlight for these guys on our mountain trips. The playground there is pretty amazing too!

Sunset campfire in the spring = 💕 I so love when the sky has that purple haze in the evening sprinkled with the gleeful laughter of my kids as they roast s’mores and run down the grassy hill. If you look closely, that’s Grandfather Mountain through the trees- we get year-round views of most the mountain but seasonal views of the profile here

Made a single day trip to to put up Christmas decor and restock kitchen essentials. Also stopped at for some NC apples- totally made my day that they were still stocked! Stayman Winesaps are my all time favorite 😍 I absolutely love this produce and craft stand off rt 105 right by Seven Devils (apparently they will carry holiday wreaths soon!!)
