AUGUST 2nd at 7:00 pm we will present Todd Herendeen on the grounds of, " A Summer Place", (a 1950's -1960's Venue located at 4190 north St. Rd 19 Sharpsville IN). I am very proud to bring Todd to our local venue, for all of you to enjoy his show as much as we have. It will be an inexpensive evening where everyone can come out for a great get together with friends, a great concert & fun food. The cost is $25 per person.

The Todd Herendeen Show is an energetic show of all the great favorites you know and love! You'll feel like you're enjoying a concert straight from the artist themselves as Todd includes well known songs from the likes of Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, W***y Nelson, & of course the great Elvis Presley, and more. He really brings the artist to life! You'll want a seat right up front to enjoy all the hip - shaking, ballad - crooning, rock & roll action at a site that will bring back great memories of your High School Years. Bring your kids & let them enjoy our years, just like we did.
Todd always includes a Tribute to our great Country & a some Gospel music!

On the (attachment) brochure there is a web site for tickets, or we can set you up for a will call at the event, or you can swing by my house at 6632 north 400 west, Sharpsville In, to pick up a paper ticket.

BAD BOYS OF MISSOURI

APRIL 15 - 18 THIS IS TENTATIVE WITH PRICE TO FOLLOW

The trip will start with a visit to the family farm & birthplace, where Jesse was born in 1847, as the son of a Baptist minister. This birthplace features the world’s largest display of the James family artifacts and Jesse’s original burial site.

Jesse’s second burial site & that of his family is close by.

The Patee House Museum served as the headquarters for the Pony Express as well as the Provost Marshal’s office for the Union Army during the Civil War. The luxury hotel was built in 1858 & is a designated National Historic Landmark.

We will also visit the Jesse James House Museum where he was killed in 1882, by gang member Bob Ford. You will see the legendary bullet hole, as well as exhibits from the 1995 exhumation. Ms. Lizzie will give us a presentation from a lady of the day. Lunch will be included here.

We will also see a schoolhouse & marm from the 1800’s.

Close by is the Pony Express National Museum. It is a transport museum, documenting the history of the Pony Express.

The Buchanan County Courthouse, where Bob Ford was tried for the killing of Jesse James, will interest all of you.

The day will end with a visit to a Bank Museum that was robbed by the James gang.

The story of the James gang & Harry Truman will be shared with you on a horse drawn wagon ride through Independence Missouri. The stories will delight you as you take a 90-minute ride through Independence, past Harry Trumans home and many other sites. The journey will end with a Chuckwagon lunch & time period live music.

Following will be some time spent in the Harry Truman Presidential Library. (One of my favorites)

The 1859 Jail tour & Historical Courthouse of Independence is also a planned stop.

Frank James is buried in Independence, where he lived out his life. Stories will entertain you as you hear of how they left the doors open and he could come & go as he chose.

We plan to stop by the gravesite of Bob Ford, where his stone says, I shot Jesse James!

We will be spending 2 nights at the same Drury Inn, enjoying the evening meal there & the third night at the quaint Frederick Hotel in Boonville Mo. A casino is within walking distance of the hotel for those interested.

JUNE 12 – JUNE 15 ALABAMA

U.S. SPACE & ROCKET CENTER NATIONAL CORVETTE MUSEUM

HELEN KELLER HOME & MIRACLE WORKER PLAY GROTTO

JESSE OWENS MUSEUM 2 RECORDING STUDIOS

The trip we are sending out is our 4 day, June 12 -15 trip to Alabama. After leaving early in the morning our first stop will be at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. It’s a great stop & so much fun watching the people come in to pick up their new babies (cars), and hearing about the whole process they go through as they take part in building their car, not to mention the sink hole. We will see the 5 cars as they were pulled out of the hole for their 10 year celebration. Lunch will be in Nashville, then on to the Ave Maria Grotto. Joseph Zoettl was a Benedictine Monk who spent nearly 50 years creating the miniature stone city known as the Grotto, consisting of some of the most famous religious structures of the world. After the walk through this site, we will enjoy dinner prepared by the Monks, with some of them joining us. The first night will be spent in the Hampton Inn in Cullman Alabama.

The next morning, we will tour the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville. This Shrine is visited by thousands each year & has wonderful stories to tell you. You will find the stories behind this Shrine very interesting. They took us to the door where the young girls enter and when the door is closed they are committed to this life style. An included lunch at the Golden Corral will keep you full as we move on to the Jesse Owens Museum, where you can see if you can jump farther than him & watch a clip from the Olympics of the US during this time. It makes you proud to see our team !

A fun time for dinner (on your own) will be held at the Rattlesnake Saloon with live music. The next 2 nights will be spent at a Boutique Hotel.

Any discussion about American music that doesn’t include Muscle Shoals, Alabama isn’t really a discussion at all. We will visit the Fame Recording Studio, which has a rich history, and some you will surely recognize. This is the studio where Aretha Franklin found her sound. Roy Orbison, Brenda Lee & others recorded here.

We will also tour the Alabama Music Hall of Fame

The Music Shoals Sound and Recording Studio is another studio we will see.

A tour of W. C. Handys home & The Helen Keller Home will follow. You will visit the cottage next to the family home where Ann & Helen lived.

Later we will see the Miracle Worker Play in the backyard of the original house.

The last morning will be spent at The Space & Rocket Center, where we will tour actual space artifacts of the space program. We will also have a show in the Planetarium, where someone will join us to explain what we are seeing.

We have some fun restaurants where you will eat on your own.

We will be staying at the beautiful Carlisle Inn in Sugar Creek Ohio for 3 nights.

We will be doing the Bible Walk in Mansfield Ohio, with lunch included. All the stories of the Bible that you are familiar with, will be depicted in wax scenes.

We will have dinner on Main Street & entertainment of “The Many Faces of Old Glory “, at the Olde Main Street Museum/Temperance Tavern, you might believe you have traveled back in time. Cy Young and Woody Hayes displays are an added delight for sports fans.

You will love the Famous Endings Museum & the many stories of the museum as we see & learn about the funerals of famous people. There is nothing like this any place!

Ernest Warther Museum is 64 hand carved masterpieces, which will amaze you. These works of art are crafted from ebony, ivory and walnut.

We have scheduled a magic show from the local magician, a private one-hour show.

A stop at the Coblentz Chocolate store will make you want to eat chocolate !
Our included Amish dinner will be at the Weaver Family site.

We will go to Heini’s Cheese Chalet, Kauffman’s Bakery & Walnut Creek Cheese (where you can browse bulk foods , produce, & a variety of gifts in the 12,000 square foot store. Lunch will be here.

The Farm at Walnut Creek will be sure to please you with their wagon ride and close encounters with the many animals.

Hillcrest Orchard is a lot of fun, watching the Amish sort apples & produce. Make sure to look out over the orchards beautiful landscape.

Dinner will at the Dutch Family Campus, ending our day with a production of Ruth at the Star Theater (a production of Sight & Sound)

A stop at the 70,000 square foot of indoor shopping awaits you on our last day at the Walnut Creek Amish Flea Market.

We can’t leave this beautiful area without a stop at Leahmans.
