We’re both the bridge or connection point of sorts between you and the various elements of your trip.

Things like your hotel or resort, your transportation, and the tours and experiences you book.

But here’s where things are different:

When you plan with me, I’m a very active and involved partner in your trip. You’re not left to figure it out on your own.

There’s truly nothing worse than having a trip de-railed by a bad hotel experience.

So how do I do my best to make sure clients are satisfied with the places they stay?

1️⃣ I get to know what your travel preferences are, what you like, what’s your top priority are when you travel, etc.

2️⃣ I take note of the resorts you’ve loved in the past and the resorts you haven’t loved so much — this gives me a great place to start.

3️⃣ I stay up to date on the new resort and hotel openings across the Caribbean & Mexico I and I’m constantly taking notes when properties open that are a great fit for specific clients. When they’re ready to travel, I already have a list started.

Can I give you a backstage pass to Hyatt Zilara Punta Cana?

I recently stayed at this resort on a trip. The industry calls it a FAM (familiarization trip), but I call it travel renaissance. Call me the Carmen Sandiego of travel planning! 🔎

On a FAM trip I’m vetting accommodations — testing out the service, the views, and the overall compatibility with different client needs.

I’m also connecting with my local network of pros in the destination, so I know what the best tours, experiences, restaurants, and must-do things are.

But let me give you the scoop on Hyatt Zilara.

As soon as you walk into the lobby, you’ll notice just how beautiful the property is & be greeted by a welcome drink because the staff here are gems.

The rooms are modern and airy. I for one am a sucker for a good day lounging by the water so I opted for the Swim-up room with a balcony and enjoyed every minute.

The resort has 11 dining options on site — Waves being my favorite. The steak was one of my favorites!

Some other things I loved that I know you’ll all love to the gorgeous beach, so serene and beautiful.

I literally breathe a sigh of relief every time a client makes it to the airport, boards their flight, and is officially on the way.

But what happens if you do miss your flight?

1️⃣ First, if you’re headed to the airport and you’re pretty sure you won’t make your flight, contact the airline en route to let them know. They may even be able to start making arrangements for a new flight.

2️⃣ When you arrive, make a beeline for the airline’s customer service desk — they’re your best allies for getting booked onto another flight.

3️⃣ Get in touch with your travel advisor (Hey hey, that’s me!) so I can re-arrange your airport transfers and call the hotel to let them know you’re arriving later, so you don’t risk getting bumped in an overbooking situation or getting stuck with the worst room.

When travel plans hang in the balance, it’s a must to have support and someone to help smooth things over.

I'm so looking forward to a few days away from the computer to enjoy the festive season & spending time with friends and family over great food and fun.

I can’t wait!

Before I sign off though, I’m seeing clients off on a family vacation to Puerto Rico to enjoy the holiday, and others off to Los Cabo for a relaxing getaway and some families cruising the Caribbean for the New Year.

T’is the season for gifting! But let me ask you, if you could gift yourself a dream trip, what would it be?

For me it would be visiting the beautiful French Polynesia, this has been on my bucket list for many years and was supposed to happen a couple years ago, then Covid hit and messed up those plans. Now, I need to work on getting it back on the books in the near future.

Looking at my December calendar and remembering all of the trips clients took this past year. It was SUCH a great travel year.

This year my clients:

✈️ Went on a Mediterranean cruise from Venice to Barcelona and saw so many wonderful sites, a bucket list trip!

✈️ Celebrated a honeymoon at the oh-so-relaxing Sandals South Coast in a OTW bungalow

✈️ Spent two weeks exploring Londan, Scotland and Ireland on an unforgettable journey, including a scenic ride on the Jacobite train.

✈️ Took a scenic rail vacation through Switzerland with many beautiful stops along the way.

It was such a great travel year for so many of them, I’ve got their travel photos in my inbox to prove it!

One thing I love about my clients?
