Interesting point.

In the winter French Creek slowly builds up ice. It starts by freezing the late fall trickle and accumulates ice throughout the winter. This winter was a normal winter ice wise. I am judging by my 22 years living next to French Creek. The ice pretty much fills the creek channel.

If the city pumps thousands of gallons of sewage every day down French Creek it's not known what effect this might have. Will the flow be enough to keep ice away or do we get a giant ice pond all the way down the valley? The city does not know, no study was done.
