Boulevard in Spokane, WA; this page is a place where all former employees of 'The Boulevard' can share stories, memories and photos of their 'Tour Of Duty' at 'The Boulevard'. The Boulevard was not an easy place to work, but over the years, turned out some of the finest employees in the division. Through the very long and difficult work days, the very high customer count and the very low sales per

customer, Boulevard employees shared a great deal pride and camaraderie. So if you know what 'Food Stamp Monday' is; If you know who the 'Cat Man', 'Arbo', 'Tinky', 'DC', and 'Super' are; if you have ever had Bruce call for a price check for 'Mrs. Norton'; ever chased a beer runner down the block, enjoyed a delicious breakfast of beer and cinnamon rolls in the parking lot after throwing a huge freight load or witnessed or been a part of an epic shoplifter fight in the parking lot; you can truly relate to the 'Boulevard Experience'. If you feel proud and consider it an honor to call yourself a 'Boulevardian'; take a moment to join this memorial page, share a story or a photo, and ensure that the spirit of 'The Boulevard' will never die. Let's keep this forum a fun, light-hearted place for positive memories and reflection. Since this page is not affiliated in any way with Super Valu or Albertsons, comments related to those companies or any other negative comments will be removed. For the record, here's the official press release:

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: On Wednesday Albertsons announced plans to close its store located at 1617 Northwest Blvd. Albertsons strives to ensure the success of all its stores. However, given the competitive and difficult economic environment in which the company operates, it is occasionally necessary to close those stores that are not meeting company goals. While the decision to close a store is difficult—given the impact on associates and customers—Albertsons has a responsibility to do what is best for the long-term growth and success of the company as a whole. And with those terse two paragraphs, the legend comes to an end. That's all folks.

I can’t believe this happened at a Fred Meyer rather than at Albertsons #233. 😮
